Skylar listened to Mike’s praise, her eyes locked on the photos of her and Joe. 

They gazed at each other from a distance, as if there was no room for anyone else in their eyes. Their gazes were filled with tenderness and affection. 

Skylar’s heart fluttered slightly. 

Joe was just as mesmerized. He couldn’t help but reach for her hand, intertwining their fingers with a lingering warmth. 

“You look stunning,” he whispered into her ear. 

The thought that Skylar was his woman made his heart stir with pride. 

Skylar glanced at him and said, “You look handsome too.” 

Mike, standing nearby, noticed the couple whispering and exchanging affectionate glances. He thought, “I’m getting more than enough of their lovey- dovey show today.” 

If every couple had this level of chemistry and looked this good, his job would be a breeze. 

The first set of photos was taken smoothly. Joe turned to Mike and asked him to send over a few shots. 

Mike replied, “These are still the raw photos, no filters or adjustments yet. Do you mind, Mr. Martin?” 

Joe shrugged. “It’s fine, just send me the first one and the last two.” 

“Sure.” 

As they prepared for the second set of photos, Skylar emerged after changing into a new outfit. She noticed Joe fiddling with his phone. Thinking he was busy, she didn’t want to disturb him. 

However, just as he put his phone away, Skylar caught a glimpse of his screen. To her surprise, he had set one of their wedding photos as his wallpaper. 

“You set our wedding photo as your wallpaper?” she asked. 

Joe nodded. “Is that a problem?”

Skylar initially wanted to ask if he wasn’t afraid of people seeing it, but she swallowed the question. His willingness to make their wedding photos his wallpaper showed how much he valued their marriage. 

Instead, she smiled and said, “Se that photo to me too.” 

Joe raised an eyebrow. “You want to set it as your wallpaper too?” 

His eyes softened as he looked down at Skylar, a smile tugging at his lips. There was a hint of affection in his eyes he wasn’t even aware of. 

“Want to see me all the time, even when I’m not around?” 

Skylar blushed slightly at his question but quickly refuted Joe’s self–adoration and said, “I’m sending it to Grandma, so she can see.” 

Joe chuckled and said, “You’re too shy to admit you’ll miss me, but that’s alright -I’ll send it to you.” 

When he forwarded the photo, he added, “I already sent it to Grandma. You don’t have to. You might as well set it as your wallpaper now.” 

Skylar was speechless at Joe’s narcissism, but she had to admit the photos were stunning. They were almost too perfect, and it nearly didn’t seem real, like something from a celebrity photo shoot. 

Without much thought, she set the photo as her wallpaper. 

At Pearlhall Residence, Gloria was beaming as she admired the wedding photo Joe had sent her. She couldn’t stop smiling. 

She proudly showed it to Edgar.
