Chapter 979
Under the eager gazes of several colleagues, Austin said, “I approve.”
“You all want to eat it every day? You’ll end up with blisters in your mouth,” Hank said to the group.
Hearing his words, they all burst into laughter.
Fondue was delicious, but it wasn’t something one could eat daily. No matter how wealthy someone was, they wouldn’t eat fondue daily.
Natalie, who had already eaten too much, couldn’t stop laughing. The laughter made her stomach hurt. “I need to go to the restroom,” she said.
Then, she hurriedly ran out of the private room.
After reaching the restroom, Natalie felt somewhat better. She figured she had eaten too quickly, and the fondue had been too decadent that her stomach
couldn’t handle.
When she left the restroom, her legs still felt weak. Her stomach pain had worsened. She leaned against the wall, trying to bear it.
“Are you okay?” A gentle voice came from above her.
She winced slightly and looked up at Austin. “My stomach hurts a little. Probably nothing serious. I think I just ate too much earlier. I’ll be fine if I stand
here for a moment.”
Austin’s eyes darkened as he noticed her pale face and sweat on her forehead. His voice grew more urgent. “I’m taking you to the hospital.”
“Huh? No, that’s not necessary. I’m sure it’s nothing. Everyone’s having such a good time, and if I suddenly leave…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Austin scooped her up in his arms. Natalie’s eyes widened in shock, her expression frozen.
For a moment, everything in front of her seemed like a blur. By the time they reached the car, her pain had intensified,
Natalie didn’t have time to marvel at how strong Austin was. He effortlessly carried her from the restaurant to the car, not even seeming to break a sweat.

His stamina was impressive.
“Mr. Powell is incredible,” she thought briefly.
“Mr. Powell, I can go to the hospital by myself. I don’t want to disturb your gathering with the team,” Natalie said, feeling guilty for causing trouble.
“Austin glanced at her and said, “They can continue with their gathering.”
“How are you feeling now? Is the pain worse?” he asked.
Perhaps it was his gentle tone, but Natalie felt a pang of emotion as she curled up in pain. Being sick made her feel a bit melodramatic.
At that moment, she could barely hold back the tears. “It hurts a bit,” she admitted, feeling a bit pathetic.
She chided herself internally, worrying that Austin might fire her when they returned to Jipsburg if she continued to be so dramatic.
“We’ll be at the hospital soon. Don’t worry.” Austin’s voice was softer now, with concern. His eyes seemed to be completely focused on her.

“Okay,” Natalie replied, her vision blurring. She wondered why he was so kind to her.
It made her want to cry even more. She was terrified of pain.
In the past, she had experienced similar pain and had cried all the way to the hospital while clinging to Skylar. But now, though she wanted to cry, she held back.
She didn’t want to scare Austin. After all, he was so considerate. Upon realizing she was in pain, he hadn’t hesitated to take her to the hospital.
Austin noticed her red eyes and how she bit her lip to stifle the pain. Growing anxious, he looked at the driver and asked, “How much longer until we reach the hospital.”

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
