Chapter 81 Banquet
“You have half an hour to assemble at Skywind Pavilion,” Christopher instructed. He had only wanted Eddie’s head if Skywind Gale didn’t have so many members.
Eddie should have known better than to kill me. Besides, Amanda and Erisa would have been dragged into this mess if I hadn’t noticed sooner.
Christopher was determined to kill Eddie for the things he had done.
And he felt the need to wipe out Skywind Gale after finding out from Malcolm that the organization owned more than a hundred guns.
Those guns could potentially put the people of Jadeborough in danger. Even though he was a retired soldier, he was still responsible for protecting the country.
“Understood, Mr. Yaeger. We will head out immediately,” the member of Wolf Fang shouted.
Christopher mumbled a response and hung up the phone. He turned to Malcolm and said, “Let’s head over to Skywind Pavilion!”
Malcolm could tell that something big was about to happen even though he didn’t know what Christopher had told his men through the phone. Skywind Gale might even get wiped out from Jadeborough tonight!
He felt nervous yet excited since tonight might be his archenemy’s last night.
It wasn’t until then did Malcolm realize that there might be more to Christopher than meets the eye.
Meanwhile, at the inland sea of Jadeborough, Wolf Fang’s battleship was approaching the port at high speed. Very soon, the ship pulled up at the port.
The Wolf Fang members drove their cars out from the battleship and headed toward Skywind Pavilion.
It gave the people who were going about their business at the port a shock. Many stopped and took pictures and videos of the majestic scene as they thought it was just a drill.
After all, it wasn’t uncommon to see this kind of drill in Jadeborough.
Malcolm floored the accelerator and sped toward Skywind Pavilion.
Skywind Pavilion was located on the outskirts of Jadeborough. However, Eddie had made sure it was designed lavishly as the property of Skywind Gale.
The large courtyard, big high walls, and gigantic entrance door symbolized the importance of the place.
The place felt ice cold even though it was summer, especially with the big lake in the middle of the courtyard. Eddie would host a banquet for his men several times a year at Skywind Pavilion.
Today was one of those days.
Inside the hall of Skywind Pavilion, Eddie felt pleased as he stared at his subordinates from the stage. He would be able to take over Golden Peace once Stanford took care of Malcolm tonight.
“Gentlemen, something big is going to happen tonight. I will keep things secret for now, but I believe everyone will be well pleased when the time comes.”
Eddie burst into laughter as he stared at the crowd before him.
He managed to pique everyone’s curiosity with those words. However, knowing Eddie, they knew he wouldn’t tell even if they asked.
“Let’s just trust Mr. Barnes and wait for the surprise!” one of his men said with a smile.
“Oh right, we need to keep a close eye on Malcolm Group. I heard that they are planning to wipe us out these days. Malcolm is getting out of hand since he has Centurion Corporation to back him up,” someone mentioned Malcolm almost immediately.
“Yeah, Centurion Corporation is being too nosy for their own good. I heard that Diane has plans to develop Dragon Valley. It will only feed into Malcolm’s ego if she succeeds.”
The members of Skywind Gale gritted their teeth in rage upon hearing Malcolm’s name.
Eddie chuckled. “Calm down, everyone. Who knows, we might hear some good news later.”
At that moment, Malcolm’s car rolled to a stop at Skywind Pavilion.
