Chapter 89 Skywind Gale Has Been Destroyed
Christopher let out an icy snort as he gazed at Fabian. Fabian, who was initially boiling with anger, suddenly cowered back in fear at the sight of Christopher’s gaze. He was no longer young, and Christopher had just retired from the military. He would definitely be on the losing side if they were to end up in a fight.
“I know you’re a good fighter, but I know plenty of people. Ever heard of Skywind Gale? It’s the biggest underground organization in Jadeborough. I know someone there who will teach you a lesson for beating my son up,” Fabian declared through gritted teeth.
“Oh? Skywind Gale? Go ahead and get help from them,” Christopher responded cheerfully.
From tonight onward, Skywind Gale would vanish from Jadeborough. He had taught the leader of Skywind Gale a lesson, so there was no need for him to be afraid of Fabian’s threat.
With that said, Christopher spun and left. Fabian huffed angrily at the sight of his departing figure. I can’t believe Christopher isn’t afraid of Skywind Gale at all! How could he be this arrogant?
Fury flashed across Fabian’s eyes. He would never let Christopher get away with beating his son to a pulp, especially after he saw how arrogant Christopher was.
With that thought in mind, Fabian pulled his phone out to make a call to a member of Skywind Gale. Fabian had drunk with him a few times, and he wanted to ask for his help to deal with Christopher.
Before he could make the call, a push notification popped up on his phone. He clicked into it and got the shock of his life. An hour ago, Skywind Gale had been obliterated. The authorities were still counting the guns they had confiscated from the evil organization.
“What the heck? Skywind Gale is doomed?” Fabian was shocked. After all, Skywind Gale was known for its power in Jadeborough.
How did it get destroyed just like that?
Needless to say, if Fabian were to learn that it was Christopher who did the deed, he would definitely suffer from a heart attack.
At that moment, Fabian was dumbfounded. He wanted to get help to teach Christopher a lesson, but it seemed that Jadeborough would be peaceful for the time being.
After walking out of the hospital alone, he lit a cigarette and puffed on it silently. A hint of mockery appeared in his gaze. He took two puffs and tossed the cigarette to the ground. Grinding it in anger, he announced icily, “Christopher, how dare you go against me? I shall make sure you die a horrible death.”
In Jadeborough, many people were cowering in fear after learning that Skywind Gale had been destroyed. They had failed to get any updates even after using their connections. In the end, they concluded that Skywind Gale had been destroyed for selling guns.
That reason alone was enough for everyone to realize that Eddie was doomed for eternity. Of course, Skywind Gale’s destruction didn’t affect the masses. It merely became a laughingstock in society.
Meanwhile, the hospital was still bustling as usual.
Erisa’s drip was empty an hour later, and she had recovered completely. Christopher gave her another brief massage. If he had been with her earlier, she wouldn’t have been sent to the hospital.
Back home, Christopher reminded her, “Erisa, don’t reveal our secret to anyone.”
“Don’t worry!” Erisa assured him.
Her promise put him at ease.
Over the next few days, nothing happened. Frank and Cindy didn’t come back until the following night, as they were busy with Centurion Corporation’s partnership. Christopher was tasked with bringing Erisa around these few days.
As Shirley’s clinic was in the middle of an inventory check, he didn’t have to be there personally.
On the third day, Christopher, Julianna, and the older couple were having lunch at noon. Frank was still talking about his dreams as usual, and Christopher was sick of it. Suddenly, a voice rang outside the door. “Is Frank at home?”
Frank’s expression changed abruptly when he heard that voice—he was extremely afraid of Fabian.
However, he quickly recalled that he was now collaborating with Centurion Corporation, so there was no need for him to be afraid of Fabian.
“Christopher, open the door for your Uncle Fabian. Let’s see why he’s here.” Frank put on a calm front.
Christopher found his reaction funny. Without a word, he stood up as told and opened the door. Fabian was standing outside. An icy glint flashed across Fabian’s eyes when he spotted Christopher and disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.
Stepping into the house, he grinned and said, “Frank, there has been a misunderstanding between us previously. I did a bad job as your elder brother, so please accept my apology.”
Frank was surprised to hear his apology. His lips curved as he responded smugly, “Fabian, what are you doing?”
“Oh, we’re brothers… I’ve been reflecting on myself for the past few days. It was all my fault. Scarlett’s summer holiday starts today. She has a boyfriend. We should have dinner together. Frank, please accept my invitation,” Fabian said humbly.
It was rare for him to act this way.
Frank beamed happily at his invitation. Even Cindy was grinning from ear to ear as though they were celebrating the New Year.
