Willow went over and said to Jasper, “Jaspe-… Mr. Hughes, can I go home now?”
She had gotten too used to calling Jasper by his name, so she quickly switched back to ‘Mr. Hughes’ when she realized it.
She used to address him as ‘Mr. Hughes’, but Jasper had commanded her to call him by his name after making her his lover.
Thus, Willow tended to address him by his name in private.
Their distance seemed to close whenever she called his name. It felt like they were just a loving couple without any social standing barrier in between.
However, everything changed after George appeared.
Calling Jasper by his name now seemed like a far-fetched dream.
The man’s high authority and intimidating aura weren’t things Willow could ignore with her lowly status.
The class difference separated them once more.
Getting to switch from ‘Mr. Hughes’ to ‘Jasper’ was a challenge, but it only took one cold gaze to reverse that effort.
Jasper was elegantly cutting his steak. He replied indifferently without looking up, “No! You’re staying here. You’re not allowed to go anywhere without my permission.”
“Why?” Willow was anxious.
Jasper shot her a glance. “I thought you wanted this.”
Willow was at a loss for words.
Last night, she only wanted to stuff the pacifier back into the sofa so he wouldn’t find out.
It was an expedient solution of hers to sit on his lap and say such a thing.
It had been so nerve-racking and awkward for her.
After a bit of worrying, Willow flashed him a flattering smile. “Mr. Hughes, it’s a work day tomorrow so I do have to get back to work.”
“I decide when you get to take a break from work.” Jasper continued to cut his steak leisurely.
Willow was speechless.
