Jasper’s mood darkened, and he issued a chilling command, “Don’t give her anything to eat from now on!”
Leon panicked. He felt sorry for Willow but couldn’t disobey Jasper’s orders. Fearfully, he replied, “Alright, Mr. Jasper…”
The call abruptly ended after his response.
Turning to Willow, Leon found her fuming with anger but also looking at him expectantly.
Leon sounded apologetic as he suggested, “Ms. Nason, why don’t you rest up in the bedroom?”
Upon hearing this, Willow knew her plan had failed.
Jasper was determined not to let her go, even when she threatened to starve.
Willow clenched her fists, feeling hurt and angry. Her breathing grew heavier as her chest tightened.
After huffing twice, she turned to leave and stomped up the stairs.
She had wanted to contact Rachel and get her help to brainstorm solutions but her phone had run out of battery.
Willow searched the room for a while but failed to find a suitable phone charger.
She found two Apple chargers instead, but her phone was an Android.
Without a charger for her dead phone, she couldn’t communicate with the outside world.
The feeling of uneasiness and panic grew stronger.
She tried to rest but she couldn’t fall asleep.
Pacing around the master bedroom, anxiety and stress consumed her.
Time passed quickly and it was already afternoon.
During this period, she never left the room and no one came to her.
It was as if she didn’t exist here in Royal Garden.
