My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey) novel Chapter 2205

Yuliana knelt before Zorion with a thud.

Zorion was rendered stupefied.

Utterly stupefied.

In the long marriage, Yuliana had always been high and mighty toward him. Even if she had become more gentle to him these days, she didn't have to kneel to him!

Zorion was stupefied for a good five minutes.

It was the first time Yuliana knelt before anyone. Though it was only for five minutes, her knees already ached from it.

Yuliana had wanted to stand up and slap Zorion's face several times, but she gritted her teeth and held back the urge.

The plan was to be carried out the next day; she couldn't ruin it at this time.

Just as Yuliana kept cursing Zorion in her heart, he finally recovered from the shock.

Panicked, he spoke incoherently, "Dear, what are you doing!"

With that, Yuliana wrapped her arms around Zorion's thigh and shouted at the top of her voice, "Zorion, please don't leave me! Please don't! I know you love Ruth, but please give me some of your love too! I'm your wife!"

This was the first time Yuliana had said such corny words to Zorion, which sent goosebumps all over her body.

Zorion was rendered stumped at her words, unsure of how to react for a moment.

Meanwhile, Yuliana's voice only grew louder at that.

"Zorion, please, I'm begging you. Don't see Ruth anymore, please. Give me more of your time; don't see her anymore."

"Zorion, my heart hurts so much. If you keep seeing her, I will die of heartache!"

"Zorion, please, I'm begging you. As your wife, I'm begging you."

She looked pitiably at Zorion and cried, "Zorion, please promise me you won't look for Ruth again, please!"

Zorion was dumbstruck.

Seeing him so, Madam Quartley hit him with her walking stick. "Zorion, what are you doing standing there?! Hurry up and promise her! Are you trying to kill her?!"

With a whack from his grandmother, Zorion finally came back to his senses.

He immediately held Yuliana in his arms, his eyes red-rimmed from oncoming tears. "Dear, what are you doing! Don't kneel to me! I should be the one kneeling! Don't kneel to me, my dear."

Yuliana cried between tears, "Then promise me you won't look for Ruth again."

Zorion agreed, "I won't, I won't anymore. I'll listen to your every word."

Only then did Yuliana cease making a scene.
