The old lady was a very recent acquaintance of Yesseca and Preslie. How did she already know about Yesseca and Tremaine?
Preslie was about to ask the old lady this when the old lady said, "I've heard everything they've said. Yesseca had been yelling very loudly and sounded very angry! I've never heard her so angry before!"
Preslie was also shocked to hear this!
What?!
He's here?!
"Tremaine had come here?!"
Preslie had no time to explain to the old lady, she quickly rushed upstairs.
When she reached the door, she realized that it wasn't Tremaine, it was Sheldon.
Preslie took one glance at Yesseca's face and immediatly understood what was going on!
Sheldon must have said something terrible to Yesseca!
She then said, "Mr. Hawls! Are you bullying Yesseca?! You've gone too far this time!"
Sheldon was quiet.
Preslie's sudden appearance caught Sheldon off guard. He wasn't able to say anything to her.
Preslie dragged Sheldon back downstairs.
When they were downstairs, Preslie then said to him, "Mr. Hawls, it was already bad enough for you to call me out the other night! But now you've come to our house and started yelling at Yessica! Just what do you think you're doing?!"
"Hasn't Tremaine already hurt Yesseca enough?! Have you come here to add insult to injury?! Why can't you just leave her be?! Don't you have a conscience?!"
"Preslie, I..."
Before Sheldon could finish explaining, Preslie gave him a hard shove. "Leave! I don't ever want to see you again!"
Although Preslie had only caught a short glimpse of how miserable Yesseca looked, she could clearly see Yesseca was under a lot of duress.
She knew that Yesseca was being pressured badly from the things Sheldon was saying to her!
Yesseca shook her head. "I don't want to eat or drink anything. I'm sorry, but I can't work at the store today. I need to rest and get some sleep."
Maybe after she woke up, she would feel much better.
Preslie quickly helped Yesseca into her bedroom.
She wanted to stay by her side in the bedroom, but Yesseca told her not to.
In the end, Preslie compromised and said, "Alright then Yesseca, I'll just wait by your door. If you need anything just call for me."
"Preslie, you should go and open the store." Yesseca said hoarsely.
"I'm not in the mood to work today. It's fine, Yesseca. I've told Mr. Hawls off! He won't be coming around again to bother you!"
Hearing Preslie mention Sheldon, she then remembered everything they had shouted at each other earlier.
She suddenly felt herself getting a headache.
