Tremaine had returned home already?
Usually, he would only come back at midnight.
After being stunned for a while, Rorita became excited.
She touched her face uneasily and asked her maid, "Do I look okay? Is my hair messy?"
The servant said, "You look beautiful."
Rorita stood up. She wanted to put on some light makeup and change into a new set of clothes, but she stopped right away.
No, she wouldn't make it.
She would spend quite a bit of time doing so.
Since Tremaine had returned home so early, it meant that he must not have had dinner yet. If she were to change, she would only waste her time and be unable to eat dinner with him.
Rorita sat down, looking nervous and expectant.
After a while, Tremaine appeared.
"Mr. Tremaine," Rorita smiled at Tremaine.
Tremaine nodded and sat down opposite Rorita.
Rorita immediately asked the servants to prepare the cutlery and plates.
"Mr. Tremaine, why have you returned home so early?" Rorita asked.
Tremaine did not answer her question, instead saying, "I've heard that you've been quite friendly with Ruth Welmert lately?"
Rorita was taken aback.
Had Tremaine come back early just to ask her that?
"Yes." Rorita replied honestly, "I've been meeting her often recently."
"Why?" Tremaine asked directly.
Despite not caring about such a thing, he had learnt a lesson after the incident with Qiana, so he had specially come to ask Rorita that.
Rorita and Ruth were from two completely different backgrounds. Thus, Tremaine was afraid that something would go awry.
Rorita explained, "I want to raise Ruth's child as my own in the future, so I went to visit her that day to have a chat. Unexpectedly, we were quite similar. I felt so lonely in the Quartley Palace, so I couldn't help but reach out to her."
"Is that the only reason?"
