Selina smiled as she told Yesseca, "Yesseca, remember you had an operation before? Well, it wasn't done properly which is why you're not well right now. But don't worry, you'll be better soon. You just need to stay in the hospital for some time."
Because Selina mentioned her previous operation, Yesseca relaxed and believed her.
She then said, "I'm worried about my store."
"It's all right. Ruth is running the shop for you," Preslie continued, "Ever since you got admitted into the hospital, Ruth started baking. So don't worry about the store, it's being well taken care of. Everything is fine."
Yesseca frowned and said, "Ruth can't do it alone. Preslie, you should go and help her."
But Preslie didn't feel like going back to work.
She replied, "It's alright. This will be a good learning experience for Ruth. She never thought she'd be a business owner after all."
Yesseca thought the same thing.
Back then, when she had asked Ruth to join their business, Yesseca never wanted to just let Ruth remain as an employee. She was going to give her a share of the business by dividing it between the three of them.
She had also sought Preslie's opinion on it, which she readily agreed to do.
"True, she does need the experience." Yesseca replied.
As soon as she said her name, Ruth showed up.
She had a bag of bread with her.
When she reached Yesseca's bedside, she quickly took out the bread and said, "Here, Yesseca. This a new type of bread I've baked today, will you tell me if it's good?"
Yesseca tasted some of it and found it to be delicious. She gave Ruth two thumbs up.
Ruth held Yesseca's hand and said, "Don't worry about a thing Yesseca. I've learned how to bake our bread now. I'm taking very good care of the store, so there's nothing for you to be worried about."
Yesseca's eyes glimmered with emotion, "Thank you Ruth. Although with how busy you must be taking care of the store, you won't have anytime to make bread for you son."
