"Badump!"
"Badump! Badump!"
"Badump! Badump! Badump!"
Rorita's heart pounded so hard that it almost jumped out of her chest.
She swallowed hard, then picked up her cutleries. Unfortunately, because she was too excited, a fork fell from her hands onto the table.
She felt a little embarrassed, but fortunately, Tremaine continued to eat as if he hadn't noticed.
Soon their dinner came to an end before Rorita knew it amidst her excitement and joy.
Throughout their meal, he had yet to say a word to her.
It was only after they had eaten their fill did Tremaine put down his utensils.
He then told her, "You go ahead, I'll be heading to my study."
With that said, he left but this made Rorita fall straight into a fit of giggles.
After she had laughed herself silly for a while, she spoke to the servant, "Did you see that? Mr. Tremaine accompanied me for dinner, he especially came back to join me for a meal. He even told me that he would be going to his study."
The servant was also happy for her.
She had been by Rorita's side for quite some time, hence was well aware about Rorita's feelings for Tremaine and how indifferent he was to her instead.
Nevertheless, Tremaine's actions that day had shown that he was finally responding to her a little.
The servant grinned from ear to ear. "Miss, I know, I saw it! Your efforts were not in vain! Mr. Tremaine finally noticed your sincerity!"
Night soon gradually deepened.
Rorita went for a stroll outside in the garden.
She was so excited that she couldn't calm down at all. She could only walk outside to relieve her pounding heart.
Once she arrived at the garden, Rorita ambled around the garden a few times until her heart finally beat at a normal, steady pace.
She lifted her head, her gaze directed at the Quartley Palace, towards a certain direction.
