Although she was certain that Yuliana was cheating on Zorion, Yesseca needed evidence to prove it.
Ruth went back to Zorion.
Zorion was still waiting for her.
The faint moonlight lit up Zorion's face making him look very attractive.
Zorion looked extremely handsome.
At first glance, he looked like a handsome prince, straight out of a fairy tale.
But then, Zorion burst out laughing when he saw Ruth.
His wonderfully handsome image was ruined in an instant.
Zorion's smile looked very silly.
"Ruth, you're back." His voice sounded as silly as he looked.
To Yuliana, he sounded terrible and disgusting.
But not to Ruth.
Ruth saw him as a child that never grew up.
Ruth looked at him tenderly as she asked, "Master Zorion, have you been waiting long for me? You must be so cold."
Zorion smiled and said, "I'm not cold at all. I don't mind waiting for you."
Despite saying that, he was rubbing his palms together.
When she looked at his hands, Ruth noticed several paper cuts and bruises on them.
She then asked, very concerned, "Master Zorion, what happened to your hands? Why are they so bruised?"
Zorion looked at his hands and replied nonchalantly, 'Oh, it's fine. They don't hurt at all. I got them from folding paper flowers."
Ruth was shocked, "Paper flowers? Why were you folding paper flowers?"
Zorion replied honestly, "So that I could give them as gifts to my wife."
But then, his eyes turned sad as he explained, "But my wife didn't like them. She threw away every single one I made for her."
Ruth's heart ached terribly.
Ruth tried her best to ask casually, "Friend? Miss Yuliana has friends outside of the palace? Do you know who they are, Master Zorion? Is her friend a man or a woman?
Zorion shook his head. "I don't know who they
n are.
After a brief pause, Zorion added, "Grandmother knows her. She told me that she's a lady."
"Oh." Ruth forced out a smile.
Ruth was ready to go after asking him a few more questions.
Zorion couldn't stay out too late. Once the people in the palace noticed he was missing, they would come looking for him.
As she was saying her goodbyes, Ruth began to think about Yuliana.
Zorion was very reluctant to leave.
He asked, "Ruth, can't you come back to the Quartley Palace? I was so much happier when you were around."
Even though his wife was pregnant, he wasn't as happy as he was when Ruth was around.
