Chapter 1185
Her lips were soft and cool, causing Cooper to feel a tingling sensation on his neck. In response, he lowered his head to kiss her on the lips.
Cooper only retreated after some time. While pressing his nose against hers, he said with hooded eyes, “We've only gotten out of bed, and you're already seducing me. Do you wish to die?”
Sally then smiled, adjusted his glasses for him, and said, “I was just trying to get some warmth from your lips.”
“You're good at making inferences by analogy, aren't you?” Cooper smiled and sat in the car.
As they were on their way to the airport, Sally told Cooper about the footage Lucian had found.
Cooper knew Sean was most probably following Eurydice's orders. However, the footage wasn't sufficient to prove Sean was involved in Edward's death.
While looking at the road ahead, Cooper uttered flatly, “Josephine doesn't have anyone to back her up now that Edward is dead, right?”
Sally immediately understood what Cooper meant. We can't do anything to Sean, but if Josephine finds out who killed her father, her next course of action is going to benefit us.
More than an hour later, they arrived at the airport and waited for Frank outside the car.
Soon, Frank, who was dressed in a sweater and a pair of cargo pants, walked out from the airport with a stern expression. He then strode toward Sally when he saw her standing by the side of the road.
Sally introduced Cooper to Frank by saying, “This is Cooper Sutton, Genevieve's older brother.”
Cooper shook hands with Frank after the introduction.
Apart from looking for Sally, Frank had also come to Jadeborough to look for Patrick. Therefore, Cooper drove him to the cemetery right after they left the airport.
Frank stood before Patrick's grave and saw the black-and-white photo of the man, who looked identical to himself, smiling brightly.
Ever since Frank saw the scheduled e-mail from Genevieve, he stopped hating her.
