Chapter 1301 I Do Not Want To Believe A Single Word
In the end, Genevieve grew tired of arguing and said coldly, “I've said it before, there's no need for you to take care of Jojo once he's found. I'll be the one to look after him.”
After she finished speaking, she tried to get up, but Armand pushed her back onto the couch.
Genevieve turned her head and glared at Armand, “What are you doing? Jojo is in such a state, and you still want to help Timothy?”
“I'm not trying to speak up for him, but it's more appropriate for Johanna to stay here.”
Armand patiently explained to Genevieve, “Autistic individuals need the gradual guidance of their family and doctors. Even if Johanna doesn't know Asel, it's possible that spending a lot of time together might help her come out of her own world. Besides, it would be more convenient for Timothy to take care of her at home.”
“Then take Asel with you,” Genevieve said sarcastically. “Let him take care of Jojo, just in case he gets upset one day and lets Jojo run away from home. That would be troublesome.”
Armand wrapped his arms around Genevieve's shoulders and whispered softly in her ear, “I know you're worried about Johanna, but there are some things you just can't do.”
“You can't just lock Timothy up in a death cell because he made one mistake. Besides, he's Asel's father. Taking away his wife and daughter wouldn't be fair to him either.”
Timothy didn't want Genevieve to take Johanna away either, and said softly, “Let Jojo stay here, I'll do everything I can to help her recover.”
Genevieve said, “What if she can never step out of her own world?”
“It doesn't matter.” As long as Johanna was by his side, Timothy felt that nothing else mattered. “I'll always be with her.”
Genevieve sneered, “I don't want to believe a single word you say!”
“I swear to you.” Timothy raised three fingers towards the sky, speaking word by word, “If I don't take good care of Jojo, and if I argue with her again, I will...”
“Sincerity cannot be achieved just by swearing an oath,” Genevieve interrupted him. “Don't drag the child down with you.”
Genevieve really wanted to take Johanna and Asel back with her, but Armand was right. Johanna needed the company of her family more, and she couldn't deprive Timothy of his right to be a father.
In the end, Genevieve agreed to let Johanna stay by Timothy's side.
As they were leaving, Genevieve and Timothy said, “I'll come by to check on things every few days. If I find out you haven't been taking good care of Jojo, I'll take her away.”
“Every weekend, I also invite Luc and Amanda to come here and play,” she added.
There are a bunch of tasks at the company waiting for Timothy to handle, and he also has to take care of Johanna. He definitely won't have time to take Asel out for fun.
On the way back, Genevieve sat in the passenger seat, very quietly.
Armand glanced at her and took her hand in his, “You saw how Timothy looked, he knows he made a mistake and regrets it deeply.”
“He truly loves Johanna, and everything he told you is sincere. Don't worry about it.”
Genevieve leaned back in her chair and said softly, “I just feel so sad when I think about how lively and adorable Jojo used to be, and now he's become like this...”
She suddenly thought of something and turned her head to look at Armand, “Where's Zephyr?”
“Dead,” Armand said solemnly, driving the car steadily with one hand. “I took care of it myself.”
Genevieve looked at the man's profile, puzzled, and asked, “Zephyr is so cunning and has escaped death several times. How could he be caught by you so easily?”
Armand said, “He reached out to me on his own initiative.”
Some time ago, Armand had found out where Zephyr was, but since Johanna was with him and had reportedly given birth, Armand didn't take any immediate action for fear of hurting Johanna.
In just a few days, Zephyr took the initiative to come to Jadeborough and gave him a call.
