Chapter 874

“It already sounds painful just by listening to you describing it. If I were you, I would also want someone to be with me during the extraction process,” Genevieve said.

The two women continued chatting away for the rest of the journey.

When the car was almost reaching Twilight Tower, Renee looked at Genevieve's side profile and could not help but ask, “Genevieve, do you have a picture of your mom from when she was a child?”

“Why do you ask?” Genevieve was puzzled.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Renee decided to tell her the truth. “When I first saw you at my house back then, I had already noticed that you look very much like my aunt. As you know, my aunt has gone missing since she was six.”

“Ah,” Genevieve exclaimed. After a long moment of silence, she finally returned to her senses and replied, “Maybe we just look alike, and there's nothing more to that...”

“No.” Renee shook her head before replying, “Not only do you resemble my aunt, I always get a strange feeling when I see you. My gut feeling tells me that it is related to my aunt. I did share my suspicions with Yuvan a while back, but he told me not to continue looking into the matter. However, I got the same strange feeling when I saw you again this time.”

Renee paused and showed Genevieve a picture saved on her phone. “This was taken when my aunt was six. You should try and find some of your mom's childhood photos....”

Previously, Genevieve had come across a photo album containing pictures of Herbert's second daughter, and one of them was identical to the one Renee had.

Soon, the car was parked outside of Twilight Tower.

Before Genevieve got out of the car, Renee said, “If your mom does not look like the person in the photo, that would mean that I've guessed wrongly. However, I am quite certain that your mom is my aunt.”

“Sure,” Genevieve nodded and continued, “I'll let you know when I find my mom's photo.”

Genevieve's grandparents used to stay in the southern district, where her mother had grown up. Subsequently, the family moved to live in the city, but most of her mother's belongings from childhood remained in their old house in the southern district.
