Chapter 879
After learning that Genevieve did not date her man, Charlotte heaved a sigh of relief. However, in the next second, she stared at Genevieve. “Since it wasn't him that night, why didn't you tell me and let me misunderstand him?”
“Armand was using Bruce's identity that night. We were afraid that you would have a slip of the tongue when you were drunk. So, we did not tell you the truth,” Genevieve explained further.
Charlotte agreed with Genevieve as she recalled that she was yelling uncontrollably while pulling Timothy when she was drunk another night.
She would totally lose control whenever she was drunk.
When Charlotte was about to take another sip of brandy, she suddenly turned and looked at Genevieve. “Wait! But the quarrel between Johanna and Timothy has nothing to do with me! This is all caused by you and Armand. I thought that was Jerry. I was so angry that I went back to Jadeborough to fmd someone to drink...”
With a resentful look, Charlotte continued, “Do you know how guilty I was during this period? With just a WhatsApp message, I helped you with all I could. How could you do this to me?”
Genevieve took her glass and clinked against hers. “Yes, yes. It's all my fault. I owe you a big favor.”
“I don't need your favor. My man is gone now!” Charlotte pouted. Thinking that Jerry had even lost his job recently, she felt extremely guilty.
However, she would never apologize to or get back together with an ex-boyfriend. That was not her style.
At that moment, someone knocked on the door of the private room.
Genevieve seemed to know who was coming and smiled slyly at Charlotte. “I can repay the favor now.”
Then, she shouted in the direction of the entrance, “Come in!”
A tall man pushed the door and came in. The ordinary club uniform looked like a couture outfit on his body. He gave off a very wild feeling.
He looked at Charlotte, smiling. “Madam, do you need anything?”
Charlotte's eyes lit up as soon as she saw him. Soon, she became expressionless again and snorted while touching her high heels repeatedly on the ground. “I don't need anything!”
