My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 137

Chapter 137

Bradley looked at Esther, who had become sensitive and emotional due to her worry, and said firmly, “Stop overthinking.”

“It’s not a dream since you say it’s not. I trust you!” Esther wiped away her tears and broke into a smile, then quickly changed the subject, feeling a bit uneasy. “What do you feel like eating tonight? How about ravioli?”

“It’s too much work!” Even though Bradley had never personally made ravioli, he knew it was quite a hassle.

“It’s not,” Esther said joyfully, her eyes brimming with happiness. “Seeing you all finish the meals I prepare gives me a great sense of accomplishment.”

Esther tidied up her hair and walked while speaking warmly. “I can make three types of fillings…”

Bradley grabbed Esther and reminded her, “You need to change your shirt.”

“Oh, okay.”Esther casually walked into the wardrobe and selected a white T-shirt to wear.

As she put on the shirt, her city-woman elegance radiated. The pure white fabric revealed a hint of her slender waist, peeking out between the T-shirt and her black skirt. Her waist resembled a graceful willow branch, swaying gently in the breeze.

“Isn’t this T-shirt a bit too short?” asked Bradley.

Esther looked down and explained seriously, “It’s not short. This is the style.”

Bradley watched as Esther walked toward the kitchen.

Esther first took out a bag of flour from the cupboard and poured an appropriate amount into a basin to make the ravioli dough.

The flour and water were tamed by Esther and turned into a smooth and beautiful dough. She then placed the dough in a glass bowl and covered it with a damp cloth to let it rest.

“What should I do?” asked Bradley.

Esther handed a bunch of spinach to Bradley, which she had taken out from the refrigerator.

“Pick the spinach. Today we’ll make three different fillings: spinach and ricotta, meat and cheese, and creamy shrimp. How does that sound?”

“Sounds good.” Bradley, the dignified CEO of the Warner Group, had never done such delicate. work in the kitchen.

Esther watched Bradley clumsily pick the spinach and could not help but ask, “Oh, there’s something you can’t do? I thought you could do everything.”

“I can do it,” Bradley retorted, unwilling to admit defeat. “You focus on your tasks.”
