My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 145

Chapter 145

“Daddy, Mommy, I’m so happy!” Felix exclaimed with pure delight, his innocent face glowing with the charm of his young age.

With a warm smile, Esther assigned Felix a small task, saying, “Felix, can you count how many ravioli Mommy made?”

Felix stood up on the dining chair and began counting the plate of ravioli Esther had prepared. “One, two, three…”

Concerned that Felix might lean too far and fall, Bradley reached out and gently held him in his arms.

“Mommy, there are 99 ravioli!” Felix announced proudly!

Esther gave him a thumbs up, showing her approval. Felix’s eyes gleamed with excitement as he swayed in Bradley’s embrace.

“Daddy, Mommy, let me tell you a secret. I’m a genius!” Felix exclaimed, although his parents didn’t quite grasp his meaning. Nevertheless, they smiled at each other and praised him in unison, “Yes, you’re a genius.”

Felix’s face lit up with joy as he sat snugly in Bradley’s arms, eagerly looking at Esther. “Mommy, can we cook the ravioli now?”

“Of course!” Esther pointed to the ravioli laid out on the board and spoke gently. “Some of these are for steaming, and some are for boiling.”

“I want to eat them all!” Felix declared with enthusiasm.

“Okay,” Esther agreed, and she instructed Melinda to start boiling water in two pots.

Esther quickly prepared the sauces while Melinda assisted in the kitchen, making the process smoother.

As the water began to boil, Esther carefully placed the raw ravioli into the pot, with Melinda’s help making the task easier. Nestled in Bradley’s arms, Felix asked innocently, “Daddy, how did you and Mommy meet?

“Why do you ask so many questions, little brat?” Bradley’s tone suddenly turned cold.

With his chin supported by his little hand, Felix tilted his head and pondered for a moment before saying, ” Daddy, you should treat Mommy well. Otherwise-”

Bradley interrupted, asking, “Otherwise, what?”

Felix’s mischievous expression left Bradley speechless as he said, “I’ll find another Daddy!”

Observing Felix’s happiness, Bradley decided not to disclose Liliane’s illness to him. Since there were doctors taking care of Liliane, he didn’t want to dampen Felix’s spirits.

Melinda assisted Esther in the kitchen as she plated the ravioli and carefully added the sauces. The dish

looked like a work of art.

“Wow… Mommy’s amazing!” Felix applauded, bringing joy to Esther’s heart. She longed to hug her sweet son and shower him with kisses.

“Just in case they don’t taste good, you must let me know, okay?”
