Chapter 173
Esther’s face was streaked with tears, her silent words trapped within her as they dissolved into a stream. of hot tears.
Seeing Esther cry like a helpless kitten, Bradley unintentionally laced his voice with indulgence. He pulled out a tissue and gently wiped away her tears, playfully teasing, “You want a divorce? What about our son?” With determination in her reddened eyes, Esther asserted, “I carried our son for ten months. He belongs with me!”

“In your dreams!” Bradley swiped at Esther’s nose, his tone filled with fondness. “Our son belongs with me.
“No…” Esther vehemently countered.
“In that case, don’t even think about divorcing me,” Bradley declared, tossing the tissue into the trash. “If you want a divorce, I won’t let you have our son.”
Esther’s anger surged, and she raised her fist, pounding Bradley’s chest fiercely. “Do you even have a heart?”
Xara, who had been silently observing, couldn’t bear the lovey-dovey banter any longer. She interjected,” Can you two continue this later?”
Esther’s face instantly reddened like a tomato.
Maintaining his stoic expression, Bradley asked, “What do you want to say?”
“I suggest that you take a vacation,” Xara said, her tone indifferent.
“A vacation?” Esther exclaimed. “Why do we need a vacation?”
“You can take leave from the kindergarten,” Xara replied nonchalantly. “A vacation can reignite your relationship. Love conquers all.”
Drawing from the psychological counseling Xara had provided, it was Bradley who had reignited Esther’s will to live. Bradley was her youthful dream and her husband. If Bradley was willing to warm Esther’s heart with love, even if she woke up from selective amnesia one day, she wouldn’t choose death again.
Because… the person she loved was right there.
“I’ll consider it,” Esther replied.
Xara glanced at her watch, calmly stating, “Alright, I have something to attend to. I won’t keep you two any longer. Apologies for the interruption.”
Esther held Bradley’s hand, and they left the room.
As she was about to depart, she cast a meaningful glance at Xara, seated on the single sofa. For some inexplicable reason, Esther felt as though Xara had seen through every aspect of her yet willingly cooperated. Why was that?
Bradley left the office with Esther, but his phone rang as soon as they stepped out. It was Leah’s hurried and anxious voice on the other end. “Bradley, come to the hospital right now. Something happened to Liliane.”
Disgusted, Bradley raised an eyebrow and looked at Esther. He ended the call without uttering a word. Calmly, he informed Esther, “I need to take care of something. I have to leave for a moment.”
“That’s fine. I don’t have any plans either. I’ll wait for Dr. Sadler to finish her work, and then we can have a
meal together”
“If you need anything just call me
