Chapter 251 

Clark handed Bradley the photo of Shane walking Liliane down the aisle during the wedding. 

Clark said, “Based on our investigation, Shane and Leah used to be a couple back in college. They broke up when Shane went abroad, and shortly after the breakup, Leah married Billy. It’s rumored that Liliane’s premature birth was a result of the strained relationship between Leah and her mother–in–law. 

“However, if Liliane was actually born full–term, then the so–called premature birth could be just an excuse fabricated by Leah to deceive others, don’t you think?” 

Kevin contemplated the implications of this revelation. If it turned out to be true, Billy would find himself in a heartbreaking situation. To have raised a daughter for so many years, only to discover that she was not his own…. 

“If Liliane is indeed the biological daughter of Shane and Leah, then everything starts to make sense.” Clark continued in a softer tone. “No one else could steal a child from prison, but Shane can. Money can solve many problems in this world, but only a father would risk losing his job to steal a child from prison. No one else would go to such lengths.” 

Clark swiped the tablet screen to reveal more evidence. “Today is Liliane’s wedding day, and it would be logical for a father to be present. However, Billy conveniently developed severe diarrhea, and an ambulance took him to the hospital. So, Shane took his place and walked Liliane down the aisle…” 

Kevin examined the photos of Liliane, Billy, and Shane closely. To his surprise, the resemblance between Shane and Liliane was striking, reaching about 70%. What could this mean? 

It meant that Billy had been unknowingly raising a daughter who was not biologically related 

to him. 

Bradley glanced at the photos, then turned and headed toward the bedroom. He called out to Esther, “Esther, I’m taking you to the hospital now. I hope you’ll cooperate, but if you dare to make any move, I’ll personally make sure you regret it.” 

Bradley unlocked the chain on Esther’s wrist and firmly held her wrist as they made their way to the hospital together. 

Meanwhile, Leah and Liliane were taken into police custody for further investigation on charges of fraud. Shane had arranged for Leah to stay behind while Liliane, who was seriously ill, received outpatient treatment under his care. 

Among the top cardiac surgeons, only Scott had the expertise to treat Liliane’s heart 

condition. Despite working at the Warner Group’s private hospital, Shane ensured Liliane was admitted there. 

Bradley and Esther arrived directly at the ward where Billy was staying. 

Weak and frail, Billy lay on the hospital bed while a lawyer sat beside him, discussing 

strategies to rescue Leah and Liliane.
