Chapter 306
“Are you proud of yourself?” Bradley asked, his voice dripping with darkness.
Esther scoffed, retorting, “I wouldn’t dare step out of line in front of you, Mr. Warner. After all, I’m merely a confined tool to bear your child.”
For some reason, Bradley felt a sudden pang in his heart as he looked at Esther in her current state. He couldn’t comprehend why Esther resisted so strongly when all he wanted was for Felix to return to his side.
“Give me the concert tickets,” Bradley demanded.
Confused, Xara handed the tickets to Bradley. He glanced at the program and the performing orchestra listed on them and asked, “Dr. Sadler, who gave you these two tickets?”
“Anna, the fashion designer,” Xara replied.
A mocking expression appeared on Bradley’s handsome face. “Are you sure it was her and not Jasper?”
Kevin leaned in closer, curiosity piqued as he examined the contents of the concert tickets. With excitement, he exclaimed, “Bradley, this is the renowned symphony orchestra from abroad. And you know what’s most incredible? The first chair violinist is a girl who’s only four and a half years old.”
Esther had heard Anna mention this prodigious girl before, so she curiously asked, “Only four and a half years
old?”
“Yes, it’s said that she is a natural musical prodigy. Once she hears a piece of music, she can effortlessly replicate its melody. Her current teacher is Venus, a renowned musician from abroad.”
Kevin’s words successfully captured Bradley’s interest. He looked at Esther, who was holding the concert tickets, and casually asked, “Would you like to go?”
Esther could almost predict Bradley’s next words-“Do you want to go? Beg me!”
“No,” Esther replied with a distant and indifferent tone.
“When I see her, I’ll think of my Tinkerbell, who didn’t have the chance to fully experience this world before bidding it farewell. When I see her, I’ll think of my Pixie, whose whereabouts I have no knowledge of in this vast sea of people…”
Bradley’s expression turned cold as he listened to Esther’s heartfelt words, her grip still tight on the concert tickets.
“Esther, you don’t have the right to refuse.”
Bradley glanced at the time indicated on the tickets-it was precisely at 8:00 p.m. tonight, He grabbed Esther’s hand and forcefully led her to an upscale salon dedicated to styling the wealthy.
