Chapter 333
‘If Esther’s dead, I’ll redeem myself. If Esther isn’t dead, I’ll help her escape from you forever.”
Kevin observed the maid kneeling on the floor, well aware of her ulterior motives. But that didn’t matter. She had helped Esther she had facilitated Esther’s escape from Bradley’s clutches, and that was the right thing to do.
“If Warner Manor fires you, you can come to me,” Kevin offered
Casting one final glance at a furious Bradley, Kevin spoke calmly. “Bradley, you don’t love her. You actually hate her. So why not let go? Isn’t that better?”
“Get lost!” Bradley snarled.
Kevin turned away coldly and left Warner Manor.
The grand Warner Manor stood magnificent with its dazzling lights and splendor. The servants remained silent, afraid to utter a word. Clark also refrained from provoking Bradley, standing silently to the side and waiting for him to calm down.
“Tell me how you helped Esther escape!” Bradley demanded.
Countless women in the world desired to become Mrs Warner, and Esther was evidently one of them. She had already achieved that status, so why did she want to escape? Why?
Fearfully, the maid kneeling on the floor answered, “Mr. Warner, it was Madam who approached me first.”
“Why didn’t you inform me when she approached you? Who’s paying your salary?” Bradley looked down at the materialistic maid before him, resenting that he hadn’t been prepared and that Esther had managed to escape Warner Manor so easily due to the maid’s silence.
A shiver ran down the maid’s spine as she pleaded, “Mr. Warner, I was wrong.”
Bradley suppressed his rage and inquired, “What did you do?”
“She asked me to make a phone call to Mr. Searle to purchase a wig. I received the wig that same night. After obtaining the wig, I went to Madam, and she helped me disguise myself to look like her. She also disguised herself as me and left on the shuttle bus. That’s all I know. I genuinely don’t know anything else.”
The maid had no idea that Esther’s first action after escaping from Warner Manor was to jump into the sea, attempting to end her life. Why did she want to die even after escaping? It would have been better to stay alive!
“Take her away,” Bradley commanded.
He sank back onto the sofa, picking up his tablet to review the surveillance footage. Carefully examining it, he never expected to see Esther leaving in the maid’s uniform. That wretched woman was always against him.
“Clark, do you think Esther is dead?” Bradley inquired.
Clark replied calmly, “I don’t know, Mr. Warner.”
Based on the maid’s information, no one other than her had conveyed any messages to Jasper
