Chapter 350
Esther said, “You’ll find out when you meet them later.”
Anna had been waiting for Esther and Felix at the airport’s exit for quite some time. She held a bouquet of sunflowers in her hands as she stood quietly.
“Anna,” Esther called out.
Esther held Felix’s hand and walked toward Anna.
Seeing Esther with her oversized sunglasses and black mask, Anna couldn’t help but sigh and ask, “I almost mistook you for a celebrity, Esther.”
“You’re mistaken, Aunt Anna. Mommy is even prettier than a celebrity!” Felix innocently complimented Esther.
Proudly, he added, “Mommy is the prettiest woman in the world!”
Anna looked at the adorable Felix and felt her heart melt. She gently said, “I can see how much you love your mother!”
“I love her more than anyone in the world,” Felix claimed.
Esther placed her slender hand on Felix’s shoulder, moved by his words. “And I love you more than anyone, Felix!”
Anna smiled warmly as she witnessed the loving bond between mother and son. She then handed the bouquet of sunflowers to Esther. “Congratulations on your new life, Esther.”
Esther accepted the sunflowers and said, “Thank you, and I apologize for causing you so much. trouble.”
Anna sighed helplessly. “I tried to find you earlier, but they wouldn’t let me in.”
“No one was allowed to see me during that time.” Esther seemed to be mocking herself as she added, “Who hasn’t made foolish decisions when they were younger, right?”
“But now you’re free as a bird…”
“Yes, I’m free now.”
Anna led Esther and Felix to her car, where the back seats had two booster seats since Annal often drove Twinkle and Sunshine.
Felix looked at the pink and purple safety seats and seemed a bit embarrassed as he asked, Can I sit in a regular seat, Mommy?”
“No, you can’t.” Esther firmly helped Felix into one of the seats.
you don’t
Despite her firm actions, Esther spoke gently, saying, “We’re in a different country now, so we need to follow their traffic laws. Aunt Anna and I can get a ticket from the police if sit in a booster seat. We might even have to take a class on traffic laws.”
Felix pouted but gave in. “Okay then…’
After securing Felix’s seatbelt, Esther sat in the front passenger seat, and Anna glanced at the back through her rearview mirror. She said, “You’re really gentle with him.”
“He’s my son, after all. I can’t be harsh with him even if I want to,” Esther replied.
Felix looked curiously outside as he sat in his safety seat.
In the past, he spent most of his time in the hospital due to his health issues, so he hadn’t had many opportunities to see the world beyond the hospital walls.
Now, presented with this chance, Felix curiously observed the bustling buildings along the
streets.
