Chapter 36 

Jasper specifically reminded the doctor that Esther was not in a particularly good state of mind, and the doctor added some sedatives in her drips, considering that. 

Jasper got up and left quietly when he saw that Esther had fallen asleep. 

Once Esther heard the soft click of the door closing, she yanked the needle out of the back of her hand right away. Without caring that the back of her hand was bleeding, she sat up and got some pen and paper to write her will. 

There were some assets under her name that she planned to ask Jasper to donate to the welfare home after she died. Her will was simple and clearly stated in short sentences. 

She estimated the time and sneaked into Felix’s ward while the nurses on the night shift briefed those on the next shift. 

The first thing she did after entering was lock the door from the inside. It was not until she confirmed the door was locked that she went to Felix’s bed softly. They had gone for the surgery together, and the boy had yet to wake up. 

He was born with a silver spoon and was doted on by Bradley, but their daughters… remained as unwanted children. Until the girl’s death, she did not know that her real parents had caused her demise. 

Esther’s eyes fogged up as an evil thought bubbled deep in her heart-she wanted to kill Felix! She wanted Bradley to experience the excruciating pain too. 

However, a tiny current zapped her when her finger came into contact with Felix’s skin. She could not help recalling the scene where the boy had put a cooling fever patch on her. He was such a good, endearing boy. 

She could not do it. Esther was not that ruthless. She could not get herself to hurt an innocent child to punish Bradley. 

“Felix, I don’t really want to hurt you, but I need you to work with me for a bit.” Esther stroked Felix’s face and said with tears in her eyes, “When you grow up, look for Pixie. She’s your half-sister. You share the same father. If she’s not doing well, please help her, okay?” 

Esther wiped her tears away with the back of her hand and made up her mind. She gestured like she was going to choke Felix and took a selfie to send it to Liliane, 

Esther: [Your son should die with my daughter!] 

Esther turned on the oxygen tank right after she sent the text. She held a lighter in her hand and looked at the door of the ward warily. 

This time, she wanted to threaten Liliane to tell the truth in exchange for Felix’s life. She wanted 

Liliane to tell Bradley herself that she was the one who had harmed Thomas. 

Meanwhile, Liliane covered her mouth in shock when she saw the photo Esther had sent her. She was. afraid that others would see through her because she was overjoyed. 

She had succeeded!
