Chapter 404
Esther finally realized that the young boy had been observing her through binoculars.
“I won’t be someone else’s mother.” Esther softly explained, “Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not unwilling to, but I’m going through a divorce with my ex-husband, and I’m facing some trouble right now.
The handsome young boy smirked. “That’s your problem and has nothing to do with me. Guess how long it’ll take for them to arrive if I call out. What fate awaits your two accomplices?
Esther asked through her gritted teeth, “What do you want then?”
“I just want to feel a mother’s warmth before I die,” the young boy pitifully expressed.
Esther’s heart softened upon hearing that. She made a determined promise, “I’ll grant your
wish.”
The young boy took out his phone and snapped a picture of Esther in the protective suit.
“Let’s go. I’ll take you to see your daughter.”
Just as the young boy was about to take Esther away, an ear-piercing alarm blared throughout the hospital.
The young boy’s expression changed slightly before he demanded firmly, “Take off the protective suit right now.”
Esther felt even more panicked. She worried that Anna and Benz might be in danger.
“Mr. Sanderson…”
A nurse entered the room and asked warily upon seeing Esther, who had appeared out of nowhere, “Who are you? What are you doing here?”
The young boy nonchalantly replied, “She’s my mother who came to see me secretly with the help of friends.”
The nurse was at a loss for words.
The young boy then took out his phone again and made a call.
“It’s me. A man and a woman just entered the church hospital. They’re not bad people. They’re my friends. Take them to my room.”
Esther was utterly baffled throughout the process. The nurse asked her to sit on the sofa, bringing snacks with great care and gentleness.
Shortly after, the hospital security team brought Anna and Benz, who were caught red- handed, into the room.
Anna nervously glanced at Esther, who had already removed her protective suit.
On the other hand, Benz appeared unsurprised to see the young heir of the Sandersons present.
“Sit.”
Benz sat down casually on the sofa across from the young boy, offering a casual greeting, ”
Thank you, Mr. Sanderson.”
Jacob Sanderson scrambled the Rubik’s Cube in his hand and quickly solved it again.
He had a unique air between adolescence and youth, with a tinge of innocence on his handsome face.
“She was taken away and isn’t in the church hospital. You won’t find her here.”
Esther nervously asked, “Do you know where they took Pixie?”
