After the judge and the jurors reviewed Tanya’s latest evidence, she continued. “Your Honor, my client’s request in this case is to divorce Mr. Warner and gain custody of Felix. Regarding Felix’s custody, 1 propose we let him decide for himself. Since Felix is currently injured and in the hospital, we can arrange a video call to ask him who he wants as his guardian.” 

Bradley thought he had treated Felix well and saw no reason for Felix to prefer Esther over him. Thus, he leaned toward Jonathan and said, “Let’s go along with the video call.” 

Jonathan nodded. He rose from his seat and declared firmly, “Your Honor, we agree.” 

“Granted.” 

After sitting down, Jonathan turned to Bradley and asked, “Mr. Warner, how confident are you that Mr. Felix will select you? When it comes to cases involving child custody like this, the child’s preference usually holds sway. If the child picks you as the guardian, our chances of winning are high. However, if Mr. Felix doesn’t choose you, our prospects of winning are slim. 

“Felix is the sole legal heir of the Warner Group,” Bradley stated firmly, boosting his legal 

team’s morale. 

Right from the start, the legal team understood that regardless of their approach, Bradley was likely to lose the divorce case. Their worst-case scenario was gaining custody of both Felix and 

Pixie. 

Yet, they hadn’t anticipated Pixie not being Esther and Bradley’s biological daughter. After all, they had collected all their information about Pixie from Frontline Scoop. 

Jonathan had carefully reviewed the DNA test reports Tanya provided. All the reports hailed from reputable foreign institutions, ruling out any chance of forgery. This meant the DNA tests were authentic, and the results indisputably revealed that Pixie wasn’t biologically related to Bradley. 

Despite quelling the panic in his heart, Jonathan couldn’t shake off his uneasy feeling about. the situation. 

Esther pulled out her phone and connected it to the courtroom’s screen. She then called Felix. 

“Mommy,” Felix exclaimed sweetly as he spotted Esther. 

Upon seeing Felix’s lovely face, Esther’s eyes welled up. Had she and Bradley been better parents, Felix wouldn’t have had to confront such a heart-wrenching choice. 

“Felix, Daddy and Mommy are in court right now. The judge will ask you some questions later. Don’t be afraid. Just answer his questions seriously, okay?” 

With his head wrapped in bandages, Felix nodded firmly and said softly, “Okay.” 

Esther handed the phone to the judge.
