Chapter 500
Any other man’s confession wouldn’t boost her self-confidence in her charm. Instead, she would straightforwardly reject them, leaving no room for romantic ideas.
Aware of Esther’s personality, Jasper kept his feelings hidden, never daring to drop even a hint. He feared that Esther would subtly distance herself if she discovered his emotions. “Jasper, you’re a great man and an amazing friend. I cherish our friendship, so I’m sorry.” Esther’s rejection didn’t surprise Jasper.
He gazed at her and earnestly asked, “Esther, can you grant me one last request? If you agree, I’ll
step back into being just a good friend. We’ll remain friends for life.”
Esther met Jasper’s eyes, took a deep breath, and softly nodded. “Okay.”
“I’ve been preparing for this confession for years. Can we do it together, as a conclusion to both our youths?”
Esther couldn’t refuse. After a long silence, she finally replied, “Okay.”
“Then let’s proceed.”
Jasper and Esther walked deeper into the rose garden together.
A middle-aged woman handed Esther a white rose.
“Thank you.”
Jasper whispered the meaning of the white rose to her, “It symbolizes pure love.”
An elderly lady with silver hair gave Esther a champagne-colored rose. “This rose signifies that I love only you.”
A young couple taking wedding photos presented Esther with a purple rose. “The purple rose represents that your happiness is more important than mine.”
A middle-aged couple placed a desert rose in Esther’s hands. “The desert rose symbolizes unwavering love.”
An elderly couple handed Esther a blue rose. “The blue rose represents a wish for happiness, my dear.”

As Jasper passed a black rose to Esther, they had already reached the center of the rose garden. Countless roses were blooming radiantly under the sunlight.
