My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 516

Chapter 516

“Even if your wife isn’t the best, she still bore your children. Never mind that you can’t be grateful for that, imprisoned her? Get lost! I’m not driving you anymore.”

Bradley got out of the car.

The driver did not even take the fare and just left without a word. He even shared the news of Bradley’s intention to appeal the divorce on the taxi drivers’ radio channel.

Bradley had never been angered like this before. How dare a mere driver mock him like that?

He sat at the bus stop, watching the bustling morning crowd.

A couple selling breakfast was busy behind the bus stop. Whenever they had a break, the man made sure the woman sat down

to rest.

Across the street, a young couple held hands with their young daughter.

Suddenly, Bradley remembered that he and Esther had done the same thing with Felix. His gaze involuntarily softened as he watched the family of three disappear around the corner.

“Mister.” A little girl with two braids approached Bradley. Her eyes were like the purest pieces of glass in the world. “Please have some candy.”

The adorable little girl handed Bradley a lollipop and said, “Mommy says, if life is too bitter, you can add some sugar!”

Seeing that Bradley did not open the wrapper, the girl asked curiously, “You don’t like mango flavor? I also have orange, strawberry, and watermelon flavors, Mister.”

Bradley looked at the pink rabbit-shaped lollipop in his hand and said softly, “Thank you, I really like it. Little one, do you have any wishes?”

The little girl looked at her mother not far away, then whispered next to Bradley’s ear, “I hope Mommy and I can have our own home.”

“Sweetheart, the bus is here,” the little girl’s mother called out.

The little girl sweetly replied, “Your sweetheart’s coming, Mommy!”

The little girl dashed into the arms of a young woman a short distance away. Before she got on the bus, she waved at Bradley, ” Goodbye, Mister!”

Bradley clutched the lollipop, his face expressing wordless sorrow. He sat at the bus stop, undoubtedly good-looking but radiating a sense of loneliness as if the world had turned its back on him.
