Chapter 570
Kevin wasted no time and dialed Agatha’s number.
While waiting for her arrival, he sat restlessly beside Bradley. “Bradley, Esther went as far as kneeling before Chadwick to convince Mandy to donate her liver to you!”
Bradley’s eyes filled with intensity as he retorted, “What are you talking about? A liver donation?”
With a deep sigh, Kevin shared what he knew. “Esther initially volunteered to be your donor, but tests showed her liver isn’t compatible with yours.”
As he gazed at the emergency room door, Kevin continued calmly, “I discovered that Mandy’s liver was a match. We both approached her for help, but here’s the twist: Chadwick Pendleton is her brother. She can’t donate her liver without his approval.
“Esther even knelt and pleaded with her. Have you ever considered this? How deeply must she love you
to make such a choice?
“When she first came to visit you, Chadwick wanted to meet her, but she firmly declined.
“Bradley, take a moment to think about it.”
Kevin patted Bradley on the shoulder, recounting Esther’s silent suffering and emotional turmoil. “Don’t make choices that appease your enemies while breaking the hearts of those who love you.”
Thoughts of Chadwick orchestrating the ‘severance of his hand flashed in Bradley’s mind, fueling a far- fetched yet horrifying suspicion. His lips curled slightly, and his bloodshot eyes flickered with chilling rage.
Minutes later, Agatha rushed in and headed straight for the emergency room. Esther’s condition was worse than she had expected.
Esther hadn’t rested properly after her miscarriage, and her emotional turmoil had taken a toll on her. Her mental and physical states were alarmingly unstable.
After administering acupuncture, Agatha had Esther transferred to a ward.
“What happened?” Agatha inquired.
Kevin briefed her, “Esther suddenly fainted. Dr. Foster, how is she now? Is she okay?”
Ignoring Kevin, she walked up to Bradley and attempted to slap him.
He caught her hand mid-swing, his tone icy. “Dr. Foster, don’t provoke me.”
Previously, Agatha had given him a taste of what Esther endured during her pregnancy. He had let it go. back then, not because he couldn’t retaliate but because he had realized his past misunderstandings. He felt remorse toward Esther and willingly accepted the consequences.
“Bradley, are you trying to push Esther to her death? Is that what you want?”
Releasing Agatha’s hand, he scoffed. “Dr. Foster, let me remind you. She’s still my wife. If she dies, I’m the only one with the right to grieve!”
