Chapter 604
Mandy tore the check after counting the zeros, making it worthless.
“Mr. Warner, I’m not short of money,” she stated.
That was indeed true. Despite being the illegitimate daughter of the Pendletons, Mandy was not lacking in wealth. The Pendletons had never deprived her financially.
“If you want to strike a deal with me, show your sincerity, or… there’s no deal,” she asserted.
Mandy casually picked up her coffee cup and took a sip. She was genuinely curious whether Bradley valued his life more than Esther’s. She wanted to see if he would be willing to sacrifice Esther for his own survival.
“Ms. Pendleton, I don’t absolutely need your liver,” Bradley remarked.
Mandy smiled calmly. “Yes, you’re wealthy, Mr. Warner. Finding liver donors for you isn’t a challenge. But currently, I’m the only one with a compatible liver. We were strangers before this. Why would I risk potential side effects to donate my liver to you when I don’t even know you?
“My mother isn’t like typical mothers, but she’s given me the best life she could. I don’t want her to have regret’s in her final moments. I believe you understand, right?”
Having this God’s-eye view was exhilarating. Mandy was thrilled, and her palms became sweaty.
She eagerly anticipated the day when Bradley and Esther would turn against each other.
In her own assessment, she had been too conspicuous when she was Liliane. It had put Esther and Thomas on guard from the start. This time, she would learn from her past failure and gain everything she desired.
She intended to torment Esther and Bradley slowly.
“Mandy Pendleton!” Bradley seethed, his gaze piercing.
Mandy sweetly smiled. “Mr. Warner, someone who’s ill should maintain a cheerful mood. Otherwise, you might leave an opening for your romantic rival if you happen to pass away one day.”
“Shut up!” Bradley snapped.
Mandy fearlessly met Bradley’s intimidating glare and added, “You might not know my brother’s personality. He never lets go of a woman he has set his sights on.”
Bradley clenched his fists tightly, his veins bulging.
Mandy found it amusing how her words seemed to irritate him. “So, please, Mr. Warner, take your time to
think it over.”
Mandy placed her coffee cup down and exited the club, carrying her handbag. She got into her car and -hummed a tune, feeling like celebrating with a wild shopping spree.
She drove to a shopping center and indulged herself. When she was Liliane, the Ansteys’ financial situation was decent but couldn’t support the lavish lifestyle she now enjoyed. Today, Mandy didn’t even glance at the prices-she bought whatever caught her fancy.
Mandy’s good mood was interrupted by a call from Chadwick.
“Mandy, come see me!” he demanded.,
