“Mr. Warner, the driver involved in the accident has already given the traffic police his statement. Due to drunk driving, he’s been detained…” 

Bradley angrily asked, “Where is he?” 

Cole had graduated with a master’s degree abroad and joined the Warner Group six years ago, becoming Bradley’s special assistant. They had spent the most time together. 

Cole was exceptionally capable, and Bradley trusted him with many tasks, knowing that they would be well taken care of. Cole was quick-witted and efficient, not only completing the assigned work excellently but also being well-liked by everyone in the company. 

Bradley never expected that the person who was full of energy and vitality yesterday would suddenly disappear today without a trace! 

“The driver involved in the accident is currently with the criminal investigation department.” 

Bradley’s cold gaze fell on the rescue team, searching diligently for Cole on the river’s surface. 

“Each person participating in the rescue will receive $150,000 as compensation, and the person finds Cole will receive an additional $1,500,000!” Bradley took a few steps away, then turned back and instructed his secretary through his gritted teeth, “If Cole’s alive, I want to see him. If he’s dead, I want to see his body too. Put aside all your current tasks and prioritize Cole’s personal safety.”

Bradley was filled with anger as he arrived at the criminal investigation unit. The driver involved in the accident immediately knelt before Bradley and repeatedly slapped his own face. 

“I’m sorry, I’m not human! I shouldn’t have drunk and driven! Why isn’t it me who died?” 

The investigators were also worried that Bradley would have a violent confrontation with the driver and cause a disturbance leading to casualties, so they stopped Bradley, who was full of rage. 

“Mr. Warner, let me explain the case to you.” 

They could not afford to handle the case carelessly since it involved a major taxpayer in the city. 

Bradley looked deeply at the driver’s face and memorized it in his mind. 

“Was it an accident, or was it intentional?” 

The investigator said, “We investigated the driver’s activities before the incident. During the day, he worked as a ride-hailing driver. This morning, his son received an acceptance letter from Chini National University, and he was very happy. They had dinner at the well-known Octahouse in the city, and he had a few drinks to celebrate his son’s achievement. 

“When the family was about to return home, he received a call from a friend asking him to cover a shift due to an emergency. At first, he refused, but later, considering that his son needed money for 

university, he agreed. 

“He might have taken a chance, thinking that there were no traffic police conducting checks for drunk driving during that time period, so he took a risk for the money and ran into what happened 

next.” 

Bradley’s initial thought was whether it was revenge from a business rival. He furrowed his brow and asked, “Did he or his family receive a large sum of money through a bank transfer?”
