My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 746

"I blame myself." Clark had been torn about whether to contact Gabriel. Five years ago, he had dialed Gabriel's number but couldn't bring himself to speak. He had been afraid of stirring the ruthless drug dealers.

It was only when Esther was wronged and her innocence was proven that Clark learned the truth. Esther wouldn't have suffered these past five years without a reason if he had reached out to Gabriel.

"Today, Esther was discharged from the hospital. I'm not here to confront you." Gabriel asked, "When are you available to take me to pay respects to those two old men?"

"I'm available anytime."

Suddenly, Clark remembered what Bradley had just told him. He looked at Esther and the others and said, "Bradley just met with me. He asked me to testify in the reexamination of the divorce case!"

Kevin couldn't hide his thoughts. Upon hearing Clark's words, he immediately asked, "Is he asking you to commit perjury?"

"Maybe that's what he's thinking, but don't worry. I turned him down," Clark said. He looked at Esther and added, "Esther, remember, just because I said no doesn't mean others will."

Esther understood that this meant the seemingly solid divorce case might take an unexpected turn. However, she wasn't afraid. She was determined to fight for Felix's sake.

She had believed her daughters were with Bradley. Now that she knew they weren't, she could sever all ties and live as herself.

Gabriel sneered. "Hasn't his lawyer informed him that perjury is illegal?"

Bradley was Thomas' grandson, yet he seemed to have none of Thomas' good qualities. To avoid divorce, he was even willing to make someone commit perjury. Would he eventually commit other illegal acts?

"Oh, Thomas! You should have lived to see this. Witness how arrogant and audacious your grandson is!"

"Esther, don't worry. We've got your back!"

"That's right, Esther. With us here, if you want a divorce, you'll get it for sure!"

"Thomas, you broke your promise! You promised me that you'd take good care of Esther, but what did you do? Have you pampered your precious grandson too much?" Gabriel stroked the photograph on the tombstone, tears welling up in his eyes.

He suppressed the pain in his heart and whispered, "Thomas, I brought your favorite wine. You go ahead and scout the way up front. Once I'm done with this, I'll come to reunite with you."

"Mr. Sinclair…" Esther noticed Gabriel hunching slightly and quickly reached out to support him.

"Why are you calling me Mr. Sinclair?" Gabriel grumbled, "Call me Grandpa Gabriel. You used to love calling me Grandpa!"

Esther readily complied and addressed him as Grandpa Gabriel.

"Thomas, you see how well Esther is doing now. She'll get better and better in the future. I'm going to support her now. If I ever have to confront your grandson, don't be heartbroken..."
