Kevin once wondered if Bradley loved Esther but was unaware of his feelings. However, he now realized that Bradley couldn't possibly love her. A man who truly loved a woman would never act that way. Even young children, in their innocence, knew to share their feelings and treat the person they cared about kindly.
Kevin found it hard to believe that someone as intelligent as Bradley could be in love and not know it.
"Dr. Slade, Bradley does love Esther," Mandy said, trying to hurt Bradley. "He's kept everything related to Esther in the storage room."
Mockingly, Kevin asked, "Ms. Pendleton, are you certain it was him?"
Kevin thought that the only person in Warner Manor who could have treated Esther kindly after Thomas' death was Clark. At that time, he didn't yet know that Esther had saved him. He had been disdainful of her, just like Bradley, thinking she had made foolish choices.
However, once he discovered the truth, he felt remorse for his earlier misconceptions and wanted to make amends for how he had treated her.
He couldn't understand why, even after learning that Esther had nothing to do with the events from five years ago, Bradley hadn't thought to make amends or apologize to her. Instead, he had committed one crime after another.
"Dr. Slade, if it wasn't him, then who could it be?"
"It's probably Clark," Kevin replied.
Mandy hesitated, feigning ignorance as she looked at Bradley's pale face. "Bradley, do you love Esther?"
