"At the scene of the car accident?" Esther studied the card, pausing before asking, "Does this card suggest a connection between the people behind the car accident and the incident involving my father?"
Gabriel said in a hushed tone, "I do have such suspicions, but I lack evidence to definitively link these two."
"I'll find the evidence."
Esther focused on the card, the vividly blooming flower of sin fueling anger within her. Flowers of sin like this should vanish from the world forever.
"When you pass the assessment and officially join, you'll have access to more evidence."
Esther declared solemnly, "If there's nothing else, I want to rest now."
"Alright. I'll send the time and location details for the assessment to your phone. Make sure not to be late tomorrow."
"Got it."
Esther had spent the past few days with Logan, not seeing Felix, Sunshine, or Jacob for a while. With over ten hours of free time, she drove to Sanderson castle.
Due to the late hour, the children were already asleep.
After a shower, Esther quietly entered Felix's bedroom.
Felix and Sunshine, being young, didn't have separate bedrooms like Jacob. They often slept wherever they were playing—sometimes in Felix's room, other times in Sunshine's, and occasionally in Esther's.
Although Esther tiptoed carefully, not wanting to disturb the children's rest, Felix opened his eyes when she sat beside him. He gazed at her in the night, his eyes as innocent as a fawn's.
