Bradley nonchalantly pushed aside Logan's information, diverting his attention to Esther's personal details.
Esther's father was an undercover DEA agent. He had executed his mission excellently, only to face retaliation from a criminal group. Fearing reprisal, he had left one of his twin daughters in the country while placing the other with a couple abroad after his wife gave birth.
Tragedy struck when the criminal group murdered Esther's parents. Billy had adopted Esther, but the two sisters had lost contact completely.
As Bradley perused the seamlessly presented information, a sense of unease gnawed at him. The Esther who had grown up abroad used a different name overseas, despite still being named Esther.
Rubbing his throbbing temples, Bradley spoke in a low tone. "Dylan, arrange for someone to investigate her overseas. I need to confirm if there's actually someone like this."
"Yes, Mr. Warner," Dylan replied promptly and left.
Kevin was shocked and speechless. He struggled to comprehend Bradley's intentions. Even if Dylan confirmed Esther's existence or non-existence abroad, would it truly matter?
"Bradley, if she can't get a kidney transplant, she might only live for another six months."
A sinister glint flashed in Bradley's cold eyes as he brazenly stated, "If she isn't her, whether she lives or dies has nothing to do with me."
Baffled, Kevin reconsidered his initial assumptions. He thought Bradley would imprison her again.
"Good luck then, Bradley."
Kevin was unsure how to communicate with Bradley. He stood up and briskly walked to the door.
As he reached for the handle, Bradley called out coldly, "Stop!"
Kevin turned back, smiled wryly at Bradley, and warned, "This time, I won't assist you in your schemes."
Ever since Esther's incident, he had been suffering terrible nightmares, regretting being Bradley's accomplice. If Esther had committed a crime, the law should judge her. Why did Bradley mistreat a woman who loved him so deeply, especially when she was pregnant at the time?
"What's the success rate for a kidney transplant?"
"If there's a compatible kidney, the success rate is above 95%, but it varies depending on the individual," Kevin answered.
"Take me for the match now!"
