Lois couldn't figure out what was on Lily's mind. She didn't know whether she had achieved her goal or not, but she didn't dare to stop her. She could only watch her leave.
Just as Lily was about to reach the door of the coffee shop, Lois was chased up from behind and whispered in her ear, "in fact, someone has been using you all the time. If you don't believe me... Think about what he has done and what happened to you."
Then she left quickly, leaving no chance for Lily to ask.
She came out to talk to her on purpose to make her think too much.
Thinking of the baby in her belly, Lois gritted her teeth and sneered.
As she expected, Lily was really affected.
After coming out of the cafe, she began to think about what had happened in the past. Gradually, she lost the ability to think and fell into the language trap of Lois.
Like a magic spell, the woman's words had been playing back in her mind.
As the night fell, the temperature dropped sharply. The cold wind blew in front of her was bone cold, but it was still not as sad as the sadness in her heart.
As Lily drove towards home, a few wisps of her black hair were stirred up by the wind, and the tears were taken away from the corners of her eyes.
On a wide and long road, the lights on the side of the road gave out dim yellow light, shining on the ground. In her eyes, the sound of wind filled her ears, leaving only the sound in her heart.
"Is he really using me? Did he really have a grudge against my father? Why didn't he save my father before?" Lily was struggling in her heart. She was very sad.
Thinking of what had happened between her and Kevin, she became more and more disappointed.
How could this powerful man not be able to save a person who was accused of tax evasion?
Unconsciously, she drove to the door of the house and looked at the brightly lit house. When she was about to get out of the car, she saw the light in the master bedroom on the two floors.
Kevin was inside.
Lily began to hesitate. She gritted her teeth and said, "I won't go back."
Thinking of this, she turned around, got in the car and drove away.
When the car was running on the road, she suddenly felt confused. The car drove forward aimlessly. She didn't come to her senses until the surrounding scenery became familiar.
She drove back to Wen Family unconsciously. She found a long lost sense of satisfaction in this place where she was born and grew up.
Lily pushed the door open and turned on all the lights in the room. The furniture was still there, and her favorite clothes and things were also there.
There were many things in the house, but each of them was covered with a thin layer of dust.
She went back to her bedroom and cleaned it simply. Finally, she sat on her chair and looked at the family photo on the table. She was a little absent-minded and muttered, "when did I become like this?"
Her face reflected in the mirror was deep yellow and dim. Excessive fatigue, staying up late and anger made her unable to see her original vitality.
She touched her belly and felt the strong heartbeat of the baby in it.
"I'm sorry, my baby. You are destined to be wronged if you follow me," she said bitterly.
If she was alone, how could she afford to raise herself and the unborn child?
She was a little annoyed and looked at the things on the table casually.
On the table, there were all kinds of small jewelry, small ornaments, and some jewelry design drafts.
Her eyes lit up. She used to like designing jewelry. She seemed to have found a way to live.
