Kevin coldly raised the corners of his mouth and stared straight at him.
He knocked on the table with his finger joints and made the buckle sound. Again and again. It seemed to be knocked on Baron's heart.
"Almost twenty years...... Are you feeling that your sprit is willing but your flesh is weak?" He finally spoke.
Baron gritted his teeth and lowered his head, "I'm sorry, Mr. Qin."
He admitted that he hadn't handled the recent matters properly. He didn't know anything about Mrs. Qin's pregnancy. He didn't notice of Lois's action on the sly, either. He even let Kevin answer Michael's call in person.
Thinking of this, he got more and more sweat on his forehead. His back got wet in just a few seconds.
"This is the last time." Kevin sneered.
Baron nodded, "I know."
Kevin's silent command, naturally, was to keep watch on Lily well. If anything happened to her, he would die for sure.
"Get out." The man glanced at Baron, and then looked away.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Baron left the office quietly.
Breeze was blowing outside the window, making the curtain rustle.
Kevin withdrew his sight and continued to deal with the rest of documents.
At dusk, the lights were on.
When returned home, Lily sat on the sofa alone. Although it was for prevention of miscarriage and recuperation, it was quite boring.
She wearily looked at the phone screen, feeling bored.
Those servants were very polite to her. They took turns changing shift like machine and took care of Lily. They cooked, greeted and massaged her. She barely communicated with the servants, so it was impossible for her to chat with them.
"Mrs. Qin, you should eat something. We can't let the baby starve......" One of the elder servants said earnestly.
"Okay, wait a minute..." Lily answered casually.
It was time for dinner, but she didn't want to eat.
The servants could not help feeling helpless when they heard this.
In the past, when Lily was angry or very sad with Kevin, she would at least force herself to eat. But today, she had no appetite at all!
No matter how many times the servant had reminded her, and how many times the dishes were heated, she just didn't move.
The point was that she was pregnant now!
The servant tried her best to persuade Lily. But Lily still kept the same gesture and listen in one ear and out the other.
At this moment, the door was opened with a "beep", and then it was pushed open.
Lily raised her head slightly and took a glance at the door. When she saw it was Kevin, she raised her eyebrows slightly and then lowered her head again.
She didn't want to talk to Kevin now, not even to see him. In that case, she just pretend not to see him.
"Playing with mobile phone again?"
Kevin's tone was as calm as before, as if there was no gap between them. She was angry about his attitude and ignored the man in front of her.
"Your phone is radiation. You'll be uncomfortable if you play too much." The man with a poker face snatched her cell phone and locked the screen without checking it. He paused for a while, because he seemed to have sensed her murderous gaze. He smiled and said, "it's not good for the baby."
"It'll be better if the baby is gone." Lily let out a cold laugh.
