Chapter 0149
On one such visit, he closed his eyes and remembered their time in Santorini. Those days had left a mark on his life, his heart, and his soul.
[Flashback at Santorini]
After finishing a call with Alexia, Maximus couldn’t stop thinking about Mary in that sensual summer dress. He changed clothes and went looking for her.
On the first day, she hadn’t gone far. She had gone down to the hotel lobby to ask where the restaurant was. Starving, she realized she hadn’t eaten since arriving. She’d missed breakfast because she’d fallen asleep late, agonizing over whether Maximus would join her on this trip. When she finally dozed off, it was almost time to wake up for the flight.
Skipping breakfast, she’d made a beeline for the buffet, piling her plate high with a variety of delicious dishes. She didn’t care what the other couples thought as she sat down and began eating. Her puffed cheeks made her look like a chipmunk preparing for winter, but she didn’t mind. Her weight was her business, and she had no one to impress.
Maximus, thinking she’d left the hotel, had gone out to search for her, using the excuse that he hadn’t given her any money to get around.
After finishing her meal, Mary felt her dress tighten around her stomach. She glanced down at her round belly. ‘Mary, you’ve really overdone it this time, she thought, deciding to head back to the room to change.
When she got to the room, Maximus wasn’t there. She unbuttoned her dress, revealing her well–shaped chest and her bloated belly, then lay down on the bed. Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.
Maximus returned to the hotel after failing to find her. At the reception desk, he asked about his wife.
“Excuse me, I arrived a few hours ago with my wife, but she went out for a walk, and I haven’t been able to find her. Did she happen to ask for a taxi or anything like that?”
“Oh, yes, I remember! The lady hasn’t left the hotel. She asked about the restaurant and went there, but just a few minutes ago, she passed by again and went to the elevators. I assume she went back to her
room.”

“Thank you very much!”
Maximus headed back to the room, a smile forming on his lips as he thought about how the girl had made him search all over when she hadn’t even left the hotel.
Opening the door, he was stunned to see her lying on the bed. For a moment, he thought she was awake, but as he got closer, he realized she was asleep.
This wasn’t the same girl from years ago. Physically, she had changed, and he couldn’t ignore it. His face. turned crimson as he felt an odd warmth take over him.
After watching her for a few moments, he decided to step out onto the terrace. He didn’t want her to
