Peter left the hospital to meet with Darius. His plan was to make all the necessary arrangements to ensure he wouldn’t have to return to Valentia. His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, especially now that his memories were slowly coming back. He couldn’t afford to leave arry lose ends–he needed to organize the life he was leaving behind. 

“Darius, it’s good to see you,” Peter said, sipping his coffee 

“Mr. Peter, how can I help you?” 

“Darius, I need you to speak with Marcus Bartz. We need to unfreeze my assets. Everything in those accounts should go directly to Serenity Bartz Hunter. That shouldn’t be a problem–Marcus’s her father, and he shouldn’t object. But if he does, she’s legally an adult. “Darius, I’m leaving, and I’m not coming back. It’s time to close this chapter of my life. You and I will stay in touch, but I don’t want to leave anything unresolved here.” 

“Very well, sir. Everything will be handled as you’ve instructed. I just need you to sign a power of attorney so I can act on your behalf. Let me get my tablet for a digital signature.” 

“No problem.”

“I need you to handle my divorce proceedings.” 

“Oh, that? Don’t worry, sir. That marriage was never legally registered. I used some legal maneuvers to transfer authority to the señora. Your marriage to Ms. Levett doesn’t exist.”
