“Maximus, you were supposed to be alone… I’ll leave you to handle your fatnily problems,” Peter said sternly. 

“No, Peter! The one who should leave is him, not you,” Maximus responded, his tone firm. 

“Maximus, we need to talk about Palmer Group, and it cant wait.” 

“Come in, Peter. I’ll deal with this man right now.” 

“Frank, as you can see, you’re not welcome here. I don’t know what scheme you’re cooking up, but let me make one thing clear: I’m legally severed from Palmer Group. At this point, I’m surprised you don’t know. My last name won’t even be Palmer anymore–it’ll be Evans.” 

“That’s irrelevant. I need you to take over the company again.” 

“Is that a request or an order?” 

“Take it however you like! But I need you to do it–or at the very least, I need a Palmer to step in. I can only act as a legal representative, but a Palmer has to run the company” 

“What makes you think I’ll agree?” 

Peter had stepped into the apartment and was listening to the conversation from the kitchen. 

“Well, Maximus, you know as well as I do that money and influence can accomplish a lot. I know your kids are in the Maldives. I know exactly where you’ve hidden them from Leonardo. If you don’t want something to happen to them, you’re going to help me.” 

“You son of a bitch! Don’t you dare touch my family! They’re your grandchildren, for God’s sake!” 

“I know! But they’ve also betrayed my trust. They chose you over their grandparents. I could take Paul and Maurice far away, and you might never see them again.” 

“Frank Levett! If you so much as think about doing what you just said, believe me, you’ll regret it,” Peter said, stepping out of the kitchen with a strong and commanding voice. 

“Why, Peter? If I were you, I wouldn’t be so confident. As far as I know, Marcus just got out on an attempted murder charge, and who knows how many people he had to bribe to be released. But you–you’re implicated in a lot of crimes yourself. You’re not as free as you think.” 

“If you try anything stupid, I’ll do something just as reckless,” Peter shot back, staring Frank down. 

“Peter, you’ve got nothing on me. Look at yourself–you’re a white–collar criminal. Who wouldn’t believe you faked your own death to avoid dealing with your skeletons? 

“If you so much as go near my brother’s children-” 

“Peter!” Maximus shouted, seeing his brother’s intentions. 

But Peter wasn’t about to be intimidated, especially not by an Levett. 

“Frank… If you so much as come close–just a little close to Maximus’s kids, I guarantee there won’t be a single place in this damn country where you can hide,” Peter said seriously. 

“Are you threatening me, Peter?” 

“Take it however you want. You can’t come into my brother’s house and expect to leave unscathed. As far as I know, you and your wretched family have a lot of unfinished business. It’d be a shame if it all came to light–and you know exactly what I’m talking about.”
