Frank was stunned when he saw Peter. Everything suddenly made sense–Maximus knew more than he let on. The existence of this man was a direct threat to his plans. It was one thing to deal with Peter’s unknown 

son, but the man himself was a whole different challenge. 

“Peter, I don’t know how you escaped death, but you’re not going to ruin my plans,” Frank muttered, staring out the window of the president’s office at Palmer Group. 

Frank had initially believed taking control of Palmer Group would be easy. With a document he’d tricked Leonardo into signing during one of his careless moments, all the power was in his hands. But he hadn’t counted on Catherine. After being betrayed by her husband, she’d created a clause to ensure no one could abuse the Palmer name again. 

Because of that clause, Frank had assumed the situation was still manageable when he learned of two more Palmers. Meeting Peter, however, changed everything. If there was a son and a grandson, it was clear Peter was deeply connected to their existence. Especially since Alden’s records, though incomplete, hinted at a direct link. 

Frank knew he needed to bring Alden back. He’d already located him in the Maldives; it was just a matter of making the call to have him retrieved. But could he afford to force things? 

Peter and Marcus were both dangerous men. Frank still couldn’t believe Marcus hadn’t resisted his arrest. It didn’t sit well with him. Marcus wasn’t the type to sit quietly, yet this time, he was. The reason for his compliance remained a mystery. 

“Sir, what should we do about the Palmers and the Bartzs? My men are just waiting for your orders,” one of Frank’s men asked. 

“Damn it! I don’t want to awaken something I can’t control..” 

“Sir, if I may say something?” 

“Speak.” 

“My team has been following Maximus and Peter. It seems Mr. Peter Palmer isn’t in good shape. We noticed that Maximus took him to a psychiatric hospital.” 

“What did you just say?” 

“Yes, the Palmer brothers went to a psychiatric hospital in Florentia. They both entered, but only Maximus came back.” 

“Well, well! That means it’s just Maximus now…” 

“Exactly.” 

“Maximus is useless to me… Fine! Go after them! I want Ethan Palmer, Jonathan Bartz, and Maurice Palmer. The rest don’t matter to me.” 

“There’s a baby, apparently Laura Palmer’s daughter.” 

“Damn it! Give me all the information at once, not piece by piece! Bring the baby too! Those children are the key to everything.” 

“Understood, sir. I’ll notify you as soon as we have the children.” 

Maximus had already sent people to protect everyone in the Maldives. Unfortunately, Frank’s men were already
