"Peter! You're awake! Let me go get the doctor… You woke up!" Celeste said, her face lighting up with excitement.

She was about to get up from his chest when Peter’s hand grabbed her wrist.

"I asked you a question."

"Peter? Peter, it’s me, Celeste! Give me a second, I’ll go get the doctor," Celeste said, trying to free herself from his grip.

"No… I don’t know you. Where am I? What the hell? I… I was… Where’s Marcus? I want to see Marcus! This has to be a fucking joke! Who the hell are you?"

Celeste managed to break free from Peter’s grasp and immediately called for the doctor. Within moments, the room filled with nurses and medical staff, including Dr. Wagner. They all checked his vitals and observed him carefully.

"Mr. Palmer, how are you feeling? I understand you were quite startled when you woke up," Dr. Wagner said, still in shock.

"Who are you? What happened to me? What the hell am I doing here?"

"Mr. Palmer, let me ask you something—what is your last memory?"

"My… my eyes hurt, the light is too bright. Can you dim it?"

"Close the curtains!" Dr. Wagner ordered. "Mr. Palmer, I know you just woke up, but it’s important that you answer my question."

"A dinner… My friend and I… We were at a dinner… Marcus! Marcus Bartz! We were both at an important dinner. Where is Marcus? Marcus Bartz! Where’s my friend?"

"Mr. Palmer, please try to relax. You’re okay. I know this is confusing, but you need to stay calm," Dr. Wagner said, holding him steady.
