Chapter 0867
A few minutes later, Peter and Celeste were at the hospital. First, they went to see Dr. Wagner, who explained to Peter that, indeed, as he spent more time around the people he used to know, his memories would gradually return. This was completely normal.
The only cause for concern would be if he started experiencing headaches, but the doctor considered it unlikely, though not impossible. Technology had advanced to such a point that if this did happen, it would be serious. But For now, there was no reason to worry.
After leaving Dr. Wagner’s office, the couple headed to the office of the doctor handling Celeste’s pregnancy in Valeria. While Celeste had a gynecologist in Willowcombe, due to the situation, she had to find one in the same hospital where Peter had been staying.
“Miss Celeste,” Dr. Foster greeted them. “It’s a pleasure to see you here. I see your husband is with you now.”
“Hello, Dr. Foster. Yes, my husband, Mr. Palmer, has been able to join me.”
“Peter, this is Dr. Manuel Foster. He has been overseeing my care during the time I stayed here after my surgery.‘ “Nice to meet you, Dr. Foster! I really appreciate you taking care of my wife during this difficult month.”
“No need to thank me; it’s our job… Now, are you both ready to find out the gender of these beautiful babies?”
“Yes! Yes, please…” Peter said, unable to hide the excitement in his voice.
Celeste looked at him, still in disbelie
When Peter first found out she was pregnant, he had been serious, worried even, but it was hard to tell how truly happy he was.
“Alright, then. Miss Celeste, you the procedure. Please take a gown, put it on, and hop up on the examination table.”
Celeste went to the dressing room, and a few minutes later, she returned wearing only the gown. Peter gently picked her up and helped her onto the table. The doctor approached, applied some gel to her belly, and immediately placed the transducer on her skin. As he moved it around, the images of their little ones began to appear on the screen in front of them.
Seeing that image, Peter couldn’t help but squeeze Celeste’s hand. In his life, he had never had the chance to see something like this, at least not that he remembered. While he was already a father, he met Alden when he was 18, so any signs of a baby developing inside a mother’s womb were something he had clearly missed.
A tear slipped down Peter’s cheek as he watched. His babies were asleep–or at least, that’s what they thought.
“Well, Mrs. Palmer, Mr. Palmer, would you like to know the gender of your little ones?”
“Yes! Yes, please!”
“Alright then. Well, here I can clearly see that this little one is a… girl! It’s a girl, a very beautiful and healthy girl. We’ve got one; now, let’s see about this one, if she lets me.
