Gabe held a bouquet of white chrysanthemums in his hand. He was wearing a suit and leather shoes. His hair was still slightly curly as before, but his facial features looked much more mature.
There was a huge gap with the innocent mixed-race man Athena met a few years ago.
"After coming back from a business trip, I passed by here to take a look. I didn't expect to meet you." Gabe looked at Athena with mixed feelings. "Haven't seen you for a long time."
"Yeah." Athena nodded slightly.
Gabe hesitated for a moment. "Are you okay?"
Athena took a deep breath and turned to look at the vast sea. "To be honest, not very good."
Gabe stepped forward, not knowing where to put the white chrysanthemum in his hand.
He simply threw it into the sea. "My mother saw you at a banquet, and when she came back, she told me that she met someone who looked very similar to you and asked me to meet you. I thought it was another trick she played to get me to go on a blind date. When you attended Mrs. Alivia Crawford's funeral, my mother showed me the photos of the scene, and I realized that there was someone so similar to you. But unfortunately, she was snatched away by Byron again."
Athena lowered her eyes and smiled wryly.
"Well, I admit that it's not that regretful. I like you, not your looks, but later you admitted that you are Athena, which gave me a big blow." Gabe looked at Athena. "However, have you forgotten some promise?"
Athena looked at him inexplicably. "Don't try to deceive me while I'm in a daze..."
Gabe laughed. "Forget it? At night you were almost killed in Salin City. Didn't you say that you would let me be your children's godfather the next day? When you come back, forget about it?"
Athena suddenly realized that there was such a thing in her memory.
"Sorry..."
"Don't be sorry. There is a chance. When will you introduce my godson and goddaughter to me? I am the first knight to protect them!" Gabe looked very proud.
"Later. Things at home have been busy and chaotic recently," Athena replied.
"OK."

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
