Chapter 1755 The Missing Person Could Make Problems
A lot had happened in the Quinn family in less than a month.
Some were in jail, some had died, and now someone was missing.
This situation even implicated Beatrice's two uncles.
"They brought this upon themselves," Athena said as she handed the phone back to Sally, "If they hadn't caused trouble, even if bad luck struck, it wouldn't affect them."
"Insightful!" Sally gave a thumbs up.
Then, she gazed at the distant starry sky and sighed.
"What's wrong?" Athena asked.
"I've noticed that Elijah hasn't been happy since we came back from the monastery," Sally mumbled, "Do you think there's something I can do to make his mentor forgive him?"
"Visit his mentor more often. Being sincere can change things," Athena gently advised.
"Got it!" Sally took a deep breath.
When they were done eating and drinking, Sally hesitated to go back. She didn't want Elijah to notice she had indulged herself.
So, she decided to stay at Evie's side for the night.
After Evie and Sally fell asleep, Athena got up quietly and went outside the ward.
Dorian and Mike were waiting outside.
"Ms. Chelsea, you called us here so late. Is there something wrong with Miss Cross?" Mike asked cautiously.
Athena pursed her lips and said, "Do you remember the one who threw shoes at Evie that day?"
Mike's expression turned serious. "Ms. Chelsea, my memory isn't that bad!"
"I see." Athena nodded and said, "She's gone missing."
"Isn't that a good thing?" Mike blurted out.
"If she died, I might feel relieved, but if she simply disappeared, things would be different." Athena raised her eyes, scanning Dorian and Mike.
Dorian reacted quicker than Mike. "Are you concerned that she might be hiding and waiting for an opportunity to harm Miss Cross later?"
She had the ability and the capability.
"I give up," Athena said as she waved her hand helplessly, "You guys can make the arrangements now."
"Yes!"
Dorian and Mike quickly left.
Athena stood at the door of the ward.
The air conditioning inside the hospital was set to a freezing temperature, so she adjusted her knit coat.
Then she turned and went back to the ward.
As the night deepened, the lights outside the hospital gradually dimmed.
Under the dim yellow streetlights outside the walls, a woman wearing a cap and mask, dressed in black, raised her head and looked toward the direction of the VIP ward.
Her fists clenched, and her teeth were audibly grinding.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
