Chapter 63 For Athena
“Athena, it’s time for dinner!”
Logan’s voice came from behind.
Hearing his voice, Athena withdrew her eyes from Juliana’s phone.
“I’m coming!” She responded.
Logan was nineteen years old.
Athena first met him four years ago, when he was thin and
short, but now the boy was quite different.
As she sat down, Logan proudly said, awaiting her praise, “Athena, I’ve gotten taller!”
“Why are you so proud? The credit should go to Sir Shawn.”
Athena looked at the amiable old man.
Kevin Shawn, Logan’s Grandpa, was seriously ill a few years
ago.
He hadn’t fully recovered, looking thin and pale.
However, presumably because Logan had grown up and been sensible, he was always in a good mood, wearing a smile.
“Athena, help yourself to more meat. You look much thinner
than the last time I saw you,” Kevin said.
“Yeah, I said so, but she insisted I was amusing her,” Juliana agreed.
“Now that you are here, you shall eat more and put on some weight!” Kevin added some more food to Athena’s plate.
He was good at cooking, reminding Athena of her Grandpa.
Athena finished the dinner with a full stomach, while Kevin was delighted to see her eat well.
After dinner, Juliana had another schedule and took a taxi
to the airport.
The old town was tranquil after nightfall.
It was just a little cold.
Kevin went to bed early while Athena and Logan sat by the fire chatting.
“Athena, it’s good for you to leave Imbe Group. I always feel that your president has an ulterior motive,” Logan said as he
poured her a cup of hot cocoa.
Athena coughed lightly.
Logan had only seen Byron with her once.
How did he come to such a conclusion?
Was that his intuition?
“Mr. Crawford is engaged,” Athena shook her head and said, “His fiancée is beautiful.”
“I saw her, not as beautiful as you.” Logan looked at her seriously.
Athena smiled.
She knew Logan never flattered anyone.
He did think so.
“Athena, you can stay here longer and needn’t rush to find a job. I can support you, for I earned handsome money by writing code a while ago!” Logan added, “Besides, I have saved the money you gave me in the past few years. If you are not satisfied with this small house, let’s change to a bigger one later!”
Athena took a sip of hot cocoa.
She did want to find a place to give birth to the child in peace.
However, staying here was not a good choice.
Logan had to go to school, and Kevin was not in good health,
so she wouldn’t like to bother them too long.
“Thank you, but I want to return to Greeli City, closer to my family.” She turned him down politely.
Logan looked disappointed.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
