Evie replied, "Yes, I'm satisfied. She always loved flaunting her image on the internet, right? It's about time she faced the backlash from the entire online community!"
"Mrs. Timberlake, don't we have more pressing matters? Perhaps we should set these aside for now," Aron suggested, looking helpless.
He finally had a chance to spend time alone with his wife for two days, but she devoted all her attention to someone else.
"What pressing matters?" Evie asked while looking at Aron, pretending to be completely clueless.
With a pained expression, Aron said, "If you don't remember, then..."
"Of course not!" Evie quickly slipped up from her act and held onto Aron's arm with a cheerful smile, saying, "It's Grandma's birthday tomorrow, and I'm taking my dear little husband to meet my parents. Of course, I remember!"
Despite being called "little husband" by his wife, Aron couldn't help but feel delighted.
"Shall we change our clothes and head out to buy more gifts for Madam Cross?" Aron asked.
"We've bought so much already!" Evie shook her head, taking another bite of the apple before looking away from Aron. "Since we don't have any other plans for today, would you like to meet my dad?"
Aron was taken aback for a moment after hearing her.
"If you're not feeling like it, that's okay..."
"Sure, let's do that," Aron and Evie said in unison.
Once the words left her lips, Evie felt a twinge of doubt. She turned to Aron and questioned, "Do you think it's too soon?"
"If we hadn't been in a hurry to get married, I should have met your dad before signing the marriage certificate," Aron said tenderly, "So, it's certainly not too soon."
"Really?" Evie said as she smiled faintly.
It was always so easy for Aron to make her smile.
Evie couldn't fathom why Aron's words made her happy, but they did.
"I'll go change my clothes." Evie stood up and took a few steps before suggesting. "How about we both wear white T-shirts and jeans? What do you think?"
Aron chuckled and agreed, "Okay."
"Okay then!" she replied happily.
She approached Aron and teased, "Mr. Timberlake, you look incredibly young. My dad won't mistake you for a college student I've abducted, right?"
As Evie came downstairs, Aron's gaze never left her.
Aron responded with his usual directness, "No college student would be so fortunate to be abducted by someone as stunning as Mrs. Timberlake."
As soon as Evie's face blushed, she playfully nudged him and turned away. "Alright, enough of the business talk. Let's get going!"
Aron couldn't help but laugh, causing his shoulders to shake.
Evie blushed, her ears turning a deep shade of red.
They both then headed out and drove to the countryside cemetery.
Meanwhile, the public relations department of Imbe Group was in complete chaos.
The online rumors were closely tied to the company, and with Freya being a high-ranking executive, the public relations department of Imbe Group was flooded with countless phone calls from various sources.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
