Aron looked at Evie, whose eyes were full of tears and whose body was trembling slightly.
Aron sighed softly and was about to step forward.
But Evie's cold hand pressed against his hand.
Aron looked back at Evie, whose eyes were full of tears and who gritted her teeth and shook her head.
"Jane has to see Brian's true colors. After clearly realizing where he lives, one can decide how to live in the future," Evie thought.
In the end, Aron didn't come forward.
He didn't want to get involved at first. But he knew that Evie felt sorry for Jane.
Now that knowing Evie didn't want to help Jane, Aron decided not to do anything.
After watching the monitoring videos, the police knew everything.
Aron and Evie also went to the police station to make a statement.
When they came out, they happened to meet Caspian, who hurried over.
Caspian was almost out of breath, and his pace slowed down a bit. "Evie, I didn't know my dad..."
Tightly holding Aron's hand, Evie left the police station without looking at Caspian.
Caspian stood where he was.
It was as if his body was pierced by countless ice blades from all directions.
He felt cold all over, and the pain was piercing.
Today, when he saw Evie and Aron in the cemetery, his heart ached so much that it was difficult for him to breathe.
He remembered that one year when it was Evie's father's death anniversary, Evie was abroad, and he went to accompany her.
Evie said to him, "When we get married, I will take you to see my father alone and then tell him that you are very nice and that you are my husband I love very much."
Caspian had never been to Evie's father's graveyard.
It was the first time he went there today.
During this period, his longing for Evie increased day by day to the point where he was almost sick.
However...
"You were the ones who launched the attack first, and what he did was justifiable self-defense," a policeman said.
Brian was annoyed at the time. "My son's hand was broken. It should be considered to be unjustifiable defense."
But the police explained to him a lot about the definition of unjustifiable defense.
In the end, Aron got no punishment.
Instead, Jane would be detained for seven days for obstructing official duties.
"You're a lawyer, but you are so useless!" Brian scolded Greg angrily.
Greg was also very aggrieved.
"The guy named Aron knows the legal clauses better than me, and he could quickly find the applicable clockwork without any lag," he thought.
"Dad, didn't you say that Aron is just a handsome young man who has no background? It seems it's not true..." Greg muttered. "He can let the boss of the cemetery turn against you with just one phone call and rush over to fawn on him eagerly..."

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
