After Cato finished speaking, he turned and left with a dark face.
When he walked away, the people in the police station lost their tempers.
"I remember when he first came here, Rose had already abandoned him. No one cared about him or respected him. After all, we've done for him under threat; now he's smashing things in the police station. Sheriff, this can't go on!"
"So who's to blame? He's so arrogant in front of us because we weren't careful enough to get caught." The Sheriff looked at the gate and the direction Cato left, "I wish Ms. Stella could win this internal fight. If Cato becomes homeless and powerless again, many things will be much easier to handle."
Cato didn't know anything about his allies' anger toward him. And he immediately wanted to call Lien after he got in the car.
However...
Cato thought about it and finally decided to hide this matter temporarily.
Lien had suffered too much when she was a child, so she was overly cautious and prone to anxiety.
For example, Cato and Lien actually had different ideas about dealing with Jaclyn and her children. After all, Eliseo was his brother. Since Cato killed Eliseo, he didn't want to hurt his wife and children.
And with Jaclyn being so timid and cowardly, what could she do to threaten them?
Cato figured that she wouldn't be a threat as long as he gave Jaclyn some money to appease her.
As for the children, he could raise them by his side in the future and keep them ignorant of their biological father, and then maybe they would support him when he was old until the end of his life.
But Lien felt that there might be a collusion between Jaclyn and Rose.
And she thought these two kids were a potential threat, too.
So Lien wanted them dead.
Although Cato thought her concerns were unnecessary, he agreed with her.
Now, since Jaclyn and her children were so lucky to be rescued by Chelsea, it was impossible to snatch them back anyway.
Lien smiled. "The best way to destroy a person is to destroy his psychological defense first. I will throw Chelsea into a complete tailspin before the shareholders' meeting."
The night was getting dark.
Jaclyn brought the children to the roof, crying and mourning for Eliseo.
"Eliseo, our children and I cannot bury you in person. Please don't blame us." While looking at the night sky, she wept bitterly. "I'm so useless. I know you were murdered and who the murderer is, but I can't do anything. I can only survive like this... But our children are too young, and they have become fatherless. How can they live without a mother?"
The two children did not understand what was happening except to cry with their mother.
After crying for a while, Jaclyn said again, "Chelsea said that Mom should have left something for her, but I kept replaying the past few days with Mom over and over again in my mind, and I couldn't remember what she gave me. Eliseo, if there is such a thing, please, give me a little reminder."
When she had said these words, crying, she felt how foolish she had been. She was so desperate that she turned to her dead husband for help.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
