It was said that the hare dies, the fox grieves. However, Hendrix was not dead. Yet he was allowing his right- hand man, the one who had accompanied and supported him through hardships, to be bullied by others?
No matter what Hendrix had in mind, I couldn't stand by and do nothing."Have you said enough?"
Andrea tilted her head and glanced at me before shifting her gaze back to Evan. She mocked, "You have a really good relationship with him. Are you waiting for Arianna to stand up for you? I don't think you've figured out the current situation!"
Slap!
"Is that clear?"
Her hand rose and Evan received another slap. His face was slapped to the side, revealing an expression of disbelief. His eyes were finally filled with a fierce aura, glaring straight at Andrea. The unspoken expression in his gaze was slightly full of warning.
The silence in the room was full of tension.
Just when everyone thought that Andrea would restrain herself, the third slap came without warning. "I'm asking you something. Can't you speak? Are you mute?"
Now, I was sure that Andrea was not afraid of Hendrix at all.
Evan's right cheek was a little swollen, his hands hanging beside his thighs were clenched tightly. His sharp features were full of anger as if he would break out at any time.
When Andrea saw that her own manager did not support her, she was so mad that she tried her best to break free from his arms. The manager wanted to reach out again, but she stopped him with a threatening glare. "Stop right there!"
The manager could only stand there with a bitter look on his face. As an employee, it was useless for him to be smart. If his boss wanted to dig her own grave, no one could stop her.
Andrea's anger seemed to have diminished considerably after the scene. However, she remained indifferent to my threat and walked in front of me. Stretching out her neck, we were only a handbreadth away from each other's faces.
Andrea smirked, "You didn't think I am still the same fool you could easily trick, do you? Aren't you a lawyer? Since you are so professional, you should know better than anyone. A case without a victim will not be valid. Try and ask Evan if he wants to sue me!"
